I've had people ask me what my favorite toys are for my dogs, and I thought to start a discussion to let everyone share and pass ideas.
I like...
**Fat Cat Inc toys (canvas, I go through 1 about every other year; my dogs love the Mean Kitty and Very Mad Kitty) http://www.shopfatcat.com/tenascdogtoy.html

**Kong

**Nyla Bones (my male loves them and I hate rawhides, plus he needs to lose weight)

**Dr. Noyz Toys (made by Kong)- plush toys that are stuffing free, have a velcro back in which the 'dead' squeakers that sit in a separate pounch can be replaced; I've had a few of these and they are WONDERFUL! No pick up animal stuffing, no worrying about the puppy/dog ingesting the stuffing. They last a fair while with my 2 low riders that are tough on toys Website: http://www.kongcompany.com/worlds_best.html

For outdoors, cheap balls from yard sales and flea markets:
Basketballs are too heavy.
Soccer balls are good, but the padded cover invites teeth, and a lighter ball might be better. They poke the ball into the air with their snout/teeth, so I worry about the impact on their teeth/neck/brain.
We had a water polo ball, slightly smaller than a soccer balls, much lighter. Smooth surface. This may have been the best ball, but it died, from over-inflation, I think.
Currently using a child's basketball, only 7-8" dia., indestructible tooth-proof basketball cover, fast and lively.

They never seem to tire of soccer. A ball turns Al into a compleat ANIMAL.
Balls that they sell in tack stores are good too. They are huge, have a handle and deflate when pressed. Shiro didn't have time to figure out how it worked but other dogs that owned it seemed to have lots of fun. I might try to get one in not a giant size.
To be honest, Kari's favorite toy is a soccer ball. She loves the soccer ball above everything else. After that its the basketball which was her christmas present (she can't pop this one). After those I'd say rope toys and the antler then the Orkas and then the Kongs.
Gus loves the Jolly Ball Teaser Ball:

He plays with it all the time.
