Now I know this is not the best topic to write, as I would not normally muzzle my dog.

However, I am looking for recommendations on nice, fairly attractive, humane, comfortable muzzles for Sir Pup.

In order to ride public transit in my fair town of San Francisco, pets must be muzzled or in carriers.  And, well, springtime is here and I'd like to take my little buddy with me on adventures, but he is too big for a carrier.

Any advice on brands?

Thanks!

For the rides I'd get a basket muzzle so your dog can pant freely and not be as restricted as a soft or mesh muzzle. I prefer soft muzzles for short lengths of time when necessary and they do make nicer ones with mesh so the dog can pant with them on now. The basket muzzle is nice since they can drink with it on too.

Just make sure it is fitted properly before you purchase it.
I can't think of anything really. Do they have regulations on what type of muzzles? I know my brothers husky uses a walker that goes around her muzzle which closes down if she walks away.
Yeah I've read that soft muzzles should only be used 20 minutes at a time, which should be able to cover most bus rides for where I'd want to go with my buddy.

It's just a bummer, because more than half of the drivers do not enforce the rule, I've got to be prepared just in case.

No regulations on what type of muzzle.. I might look into a soft one just because they are more portable.

Life would be so much easier with a car!
Yea..muzzled dog vs unmuzzled dog doesn't sound right..

sounds like my neighborhood.. I hate it when people don't follow the rules :/ specially when their dogs aren't friendly.
Consider yoursel lucky to even be able to take your dog on public transport at all! How cool, wish we could do that here!
