Do your dogs lay on their backs with all legs spread to sleep?

Bandit looks like someone dropped him on the bed and he splatted. I noticed and my daughter says he hogs the bed. Is this a trait?

Bandit sleeps with the kids

Quaid sleeps like this on a regular basis. And often he just likes to lay there wide-awake and upside down...
Absolutely. I think they do it to keep cool. With such a thick coat, their belly is the only place fur free and keeps them cool while they're asleep. Our 9 week old puppy loves to get in between the cushions on the couch and dream away!

Lol yes, when spikes is really comfy and sleeping heavy I will find him on his back with his back legs spread completely apart. It's looks too funny and cute
