corgy talk

I have noticed that when someone has been gone away for a while and return my Bailey talks it is not a bark but a long separated sound like a conversation,does anyone elses do that also.

Corgi makes a kinds of weird vocalization. It is part of their charm! Yoda does it too!

Frosty is a HUGE talker. He yodels when he wants you to play and he always talks to us through the fence when we get home. I have a hard time catching it on video, but I did get a pretty good video of him yodeling at my husband one night (he also does this to one of our cats when he wants her to play with him lol) - http://www.mycorgi.com/video/frostys-yodelling-toy-howl-1

My old friend Tinsel would do the most lovely, low "Arroooo" when greeting people she liked. It was one of her most charming habits. Like David said, some Corgis can be very vocal and make a range of noises other than the usual barks and woofs. Gromit makes a gravelly "Rrrrrrr" sound when he comes up behind me and wants my attention.

Sami at 17 months is finding out she can make all sorts of sounds, we just love it. For years I have talked to my animals and almost all of them became very vocal. After a rough day this is one of the sweetest sounds.

Kota totally talks to me all the time. Especially after I have been gone for a long time. Like he tells me how mean I am for leaving him behind and all the stuff that happened while I was away. I love it. He usually pokes his nose under my hand and grumble talks too. Like pet me, I want love.

I just love all of those crazy corgi noises. Ella makes this half yip/half huff noise if you ask her "where's Eric" (Eric being our son, and he can be right next to her or down stairs she still makes that noise). If you are rubbing her and stop, she makes a low deep breath almost whimper noise. If she wants to go outside she makes a sound that almost sounds like the word "why". Wants to show you something, it's short "bouncy" noises. The list goes on and on. :)
