HELP! Having problem finding collar/harness that fits my pup

I am trying to get my Mia used to wearing a collar but am not having much luck.  I tried a harness but it seemed to rub the wrong way.  A regular collar was alright but she pulls against it sooo much.  I am wondering about a Martingale collar?  Wanted to get some opinions before I buy as they are somewhat spendy!  Also, Mia HATES when you put anything on her.  She will try to squirm away and nip you and gets very upset and excited.  What would be the best way to discourage this behavior?

Thanks for any and all input!!!

Our JP was like this to and I would end up taking the collar off. But after about 2 weeks of leaving it on 24/7 she finally accepted it and no longer was a drama queen. We used a 1/2 nylon collar from pet smart. Good
luck. :-).
How old is Mia? If she is just getting used to wearing a collar I would use a thin, lightweight nylon collar until she gets used to it. Just put it on and leave it on, she'll forget about it eventually. I use limited slip martingale collars on my boys because I like that they can't slip out of their collars, but I doubt it will stop her from pulling.

If she's pulling on a walk, you can try standing perfectly still each time she starts to pull. No walking until she stops and pays attention to you. Then start again. If she pulls again, stop. It may take quite a while for her to figure it out. The other idea is to immediately switch directions the second she starts to pull. She will eventually learn that YOU lead the way.
We use Puppia harnesses for our Corgi Rooster and our Lab puppy wears one too. They fit Rooster really well and don't slip off. They have a couple types one slips over the head and I think they have one that velcros around the body. They are really soft and work really well for us.
