Milly has never been a particularly big eater unless it's people food, lol. She will never eat when she is by herself for example. A couple of months ago (we are on our second or third bag of food) we changed her food to the Blue Buffalo grain free salmon formula. She is always hungry. She can hardly wait for her food in the morning and we are rationing it so that she doesn't gain weight. Is this because this food is grain free or some other reason? She eats her full bowl and still seems sooo hungry and not in a corgi way just hungry. Does anyone else have this experience? I know that food has been discussed alot on this site but I couldn't find a reference to this type of behaviour.

Corgis are ALWAYS hungry!! My guess is that she was not thrilled by her old food, and she just simply can't get enough of the new food. If her stool is firm, she has the same energy (or more) than she did before, and doesn't show any other signs of ill-health, she's probably fine.
Thanks :) She just seems so unnaturally hungry even my sister commented tonight that she has never seen Milly eat like that. She gave her a piece of salmon (from our dinner) and nearly lost a finger! I should mention that although her stools seem fine she is going poop several times a day, 4-5 times most days even though the quantity of food is the same as before.
So should I be feeding her twice a day now instead of just once? I put her food down in the morning (about 1 1/2 cups) and it is there all day. She used to eat it late a night only but now she finishes it off for breakfast and later in the afternoon. I'm not sure I even know what the proper amount of food is now that she is eating it. She is 11.2 kg (approx 22 lbs).
Sophie always acts hungry even right after she has eaten. I recently changed her food and she is worse then she was. I think it is because she likes her food better. It does seem like they are abnormally hungry, but I guess this is just how some corgis are. I swear, I think if I filled a giant bowl up with food - would she stop? is there even a shut off valve in there or a FULL gauge? One thing that I am finding helps is she seems to need to be snapped out of eating mode. So after she eats I either throw a toy and get her interested in that (if it is dark out and we are getting ready to go to work) - if it's a non-work day or after work, I take her right outside for a romp and it really helps! When we come back in the house she isn't looking for food everywhere. SO, I wouldn't worry about your girl, I think she is just a typical corgi or foodi!
