7+ years.;Gwynnie's name tag and ring are hanging by about 0.2 mm of metal.
Shopping for a replacement, I've found tags that have thimble reinforcements around the hole. Look for these. There are also rivet-on collar tags.
We just got these great tiny tags from LuckyPet.com, $10, just our phone #'s on them (censored out).
I also wrote our phone#'s on the plastic yellow Home Again tag in Sharpie pen ink (also censored). They also sell the rivet-on kind, which I might try; they're a bit more challenging, you'll have to melt a tiny hole thru the nylon collar and know how to use a hammer. Note: these tags are not engraved as deeply as I'd expected, and might wear off with age, so I put them on the outside where they won't rub. Note the nice thimble around the hole..
