2 questions. At times when Max and Molly go out to pee Max will get done first and then run over and pee on Mollys back side. I had never seen this before or heard of it and I'm not sure how to stop it. Any One??????

Let me make sure I understand: Is he marking HER. I mean, actually peeing on her?

If so, I would give him a very firm (but calm) correction. That's sorta doggy bullying behavior, I think.
Yes, he is peeing on her. We have done the NO thing. If he thinks we're not looking well, he pees. They have both been "fixed" and he will pee a little on where she squats if he doesn't get there fast enough. It is weird
It's on the high end of normal as far as marking behavior; he's claiming her as his. The issue isn't that it's mean to her, per se, as she's probably ok with it (though you don't want her smelling of urine). The thing is, he is saying "I am in charge of her" and while it's ok for him to outrank her, the fact is that you need to outrank them both. I think as he sees it, he's building his own little pack of two: him and her. You don't want that. So a firm "no" and a shorter leash should help. :-)
If he is actually marking her as Beth asked yes you will want to correct him as Beth suggested. If he is just peeing where she did this is very normal behavior. I have my females doing this several times a day one will go and then they all take turns peeing there.Sometimes my male will also go where the females did and sometimes not!
Yeah, mine will pee where the other peed too. I had read that they pee in order of dominance, lowest to highest. That may be true of same-sex dogs or a larger pack, but with mine either will pee on top of the other's. Since Jack pees the second he goes outside and Maddie is sometimes choosie, we use this to our advantage and make sure Maddie sees Jack pee, because 9 times out of 10 she'll run over and pee on top of his! Sometimes she sticks her nose there while he's still going. LOL It's made her a fast pee-er too. But if she pees somewhere, and Jack hasn't just gone, he'll also run over and give a little sprinkle. They make me laugh.
If verbal corrections don't faze him, you may want to stand guard with a spray bottle and spray him when he attempts to be on her. You could even correct him if he approaches her while she is still peeing, maybe an "ah-uh" or "leave it" so he learns he is not allowed to bother her while she is peeing.
Thanks to all! It's given things to think about
