Beni's birthday is tomorrow, so I was wondering if any of you had any birthday recipes or ideas to share. :)

What have you all done for your corgi's birthday?

For the kids' second birthday, we made a frozen yogurt cake. Plain yogurt, minced cooked chicken & chicken broth - mixed and frozen in a bowl.
For the fourth birthday, it was individual meatloaf cupcakes. The decorations were dog biscuits glued on with cream cheese.

Every year on Mothers' Day, we take mom and whichever of the kids are around out for ice cream.
Oh my! How could I forgHattiehat our little wigglebutts birthdays' are tomorrow?! It's been a busy weekend. Happy birthday Beni!!! I think I'll buy Lyla a special cookie from her favorite bakery and have the dog walker take her on an extra long birthday walk!
Or, "forget that"... that's what I get for trying to do this stuff on my phone! =)
Beni says happy birthday to his sister Lyla too!
Happy Birthday Beni!

For Ashton's first birthday we had a little birthday party. I work at a vet clinic and we have a resident dog who came over for a doggie slumber party. My hubby baked a doggie birthday cake using a recipe he found online. The birthday boy got some new toys and treats. At the end of the day all the dogs were completely tuckered out from playing. It was perfect. :)

I am currently using one of his birthday pics as my icon (there are more on my page too). Now that is the face of one happy birthday boy! lol
I would suggest you dress him as a groundhog, and bring him outside at sunrise. Check to see if his shadow is visible, and if so, make sure he sees it. Then, let him react to that. If he seems frightened, let him go with that, respect his emotions. Allow him too go hide if he wishes, If his shadow is not visible, then there will be nothing unusual for him to see. He will probably remain calm, and stay with you calmly.

If you are lucky, there should be several gypsy women, or even witches around, to help you understand just what your dog is trying to tell you. If, by chance, you should be alone, you may need to rely on the relationship you have with this dog. Let's hope you are very close, and you can read his brain signals. I believe he will have something to tell you about the length of the rest of this cold. cold winter.

I must go now to ponder the meaning of the birthday of my Lilliput, who was born on April 1. Will that date be significant, too?

Happy Birthday Beni!
We invited some doggie friends over and I made Rachel Ray's PUPCAKES(recipe on her website) for Gem's 1st Birthday in October...she had some gifts to open and we had some spirits and enjoyed watching the dogs romp around the yard and yes they were very tired out at the end of the day!! Happy groundhog birthday Beni!!!!
Ooh, thanks for all the great ideas and birthday wishes for Beni!
Mark was suggesting to me that I should make a meat pie for them instead of a birthday cake. There are lots of receipties online and you can even order them ahead of time.

I think if you want you can do something cute with ground beef cooked (well drained of fat!) with rice as a birthday dinner, and a large cookie. Since it is so close, anything else might be to much effort.
