Breeders that don't dock

Hi there. :] I'm looking to bring home a corgi sometime within the next year or so, and figured I'd start doing my research now. Recently I've become intrigued with Pembrokes with tails, after seeing pictures of ones from countries where tail docking is banned. I was wondering if anyone knew of any breeders here in the US that didn't dock tails as well? I know it'd probably be pretty rare, since most breeders breed for show, and tails would be non standard... But if anyone knows of any breeders that don't, please let me know. I live in Southern California, but I'm open to breeders from farther away if they're reputable and willing to ship. If fate would allow it, I would love a fluffy boy with a tail. :]

Like the OP, we have been talking very recently about adding a pem to our household. We have two cardis now--had 3, but just lost our oldest in July. Our younger cardi is smallish and doesn't like to play so rough--he's more of a frapper. So, now that we're able to start contemplating possibly adding a dog to the family, we would like a fluffy pem, and preferably with a tail because we feel docking is cruel. So, I do applaud your near decision, or at least the contemplation.

I docked my 1st litters tails and never again. Many people LOVE Pem tails and since there are very few that don't dock I have had many fly in(I also won't ship a pup unless people pick them up and fly with them in the plane). As for dew claws I do have the rear ones docked but not the front. Mine have had some pretty nasty back dew claws that I would not have wanted to be kept. I have also had people tell me that I will never win any titles but I raise therapy, agility, herding and obedience dogs and even if I did want to show I wouldn't dock. I just saw this thread.

My breeder is in Hawaii and he is Danish where they don't dock...so he doesn't unless he is requested by a prospective buyer.

My Lulu has a tail and I love it. I wish there were more breeders who didn't dock, I understand the "standard" but believe if there is no intention to show (like most of us) why do it? It is an archaic and needless procedure, as with docking ears!

My 2 cents, no haters please!
