Are rawhide and bully sticks from Brazil safe? I have been buying "Made in the USA", but found a large section of Brazilian products today.

My 1st thought whether with food(beef etc) is tha Brazil does not have the same rules govering their food as we do and so therefore they may have more chemicals and pesticides than we allow in the USA. I once bought some cow hooves that came from a foreign country and had to throw them as they not only made my dogs sick but the smell was horrible.

No country is immune from recall.

I think Brazil is a big exporter of beef for human consumption.   I think it has a fairly good reputation.

Bestbullysticks.com is pretty reputable and they have a lot of bully sticks and chews that come from Brazil. I think you'd be pretty safe as long as the seller is pretty good themselves.

I bought a big bag of rawhide from Costco before that was made in Brazil. Rocky made it through the entire bag with no problems :)
