Tucker and I do agility (or try to ;)) and I was wondering everyone's thoughts on chiropractic work.

I used to ride horses, and chiro adjustments are a routine thing for sporthorses. Many problems in horses are relieved by chiropractic adjustments. Seeing as Tucker basically does the same thing, I was considering having him looked at by the chiropractor. He doesn't really seem to have any problems, but he is tough as nails. He's recently been stopping at the top of the A-frame, and I was thinking maybe something is out of whack and hurts on the way down, causing some reluctance. There are several DVMs around here that are also chiropractors.

I've also read that you're not support to adjust Corgis. Anyone have any experience with this?

When my late corgi Tinsel was struggling with DM, in the early stages chiropractic gave her some temporary relief.  I have an excellent chiropractor and he's taken great care of me (I broke my back years ago) for fourteen years now and I'd trust him with Gromit & Sparkle if I thought it was necessary.

At one point when Wynn hurt his back I was ready to have the chiropractor work on him but he was fine with the what the vet showed me to do so we didn't need him to.

Oliver's HD was diagnosed when he was 1 1/2 years old. Initial signs of arthritis in his spine and hips at 2. He's 3 adjustments too realign his hips and spine and TOES of all things to date (about once every 6 months or so). They really help. He moves much better afterward. Make sure you find a certified vet. Mine specializes in equines, but she sees a fair few dogs as well.

I know it's not recommended in cardis due to the potential for IVDD, not sure about pems though. I personally wouldn't mess with it but that's just my opinion.
