Corgi Daycare
I'm a school teacher and have 3 weeks to go until an 8 week summer holiday break ( Australia), I've chosen to leave my 8 week old pup with my retired parents during the day when I'm teaching.
They've bred corgis and am loving having another corgi to love. Ellie is always very excited to stay with them and seems to understand the routine of the day. I can't help but wonder if it is affecting her though- is it more stressful for her to be in two different environments during the day?
I take many of her toys and bed with her and they only live around the corner. kind of thought it was better than leaving my beautiful girl home alone all day when I've only had her for a week!!!

I think it's great! Whenever possible I leave mine with someone when I'm gone! She is lucky to have a great 2nd home and my guess is less stressful than being home alone all day:)

I think that's so great, she's so young and needs socializing and stimulation (AND NAPS!), I think that's much less stressful than being home alone, just as Jane says below. I had the opposite -- I got my pup during my summer break, so 8 weeks later, when school started, I lined up visitors (dog walker, doorman, etc.) to come during the day to keep him from being stressed alone. Enjoy your baby Cuuuuute photos.

G'day Rebecca, it will be just fine, corgis learn and adapt to routines, especially for an 8 week old pup, she'll need solid structure. I see you're from "The Garden City", what happen to the Clydesdales?

Don't fret Sam... I believe the Clysdales are making a comeback for 2011! Loss of a major sponsor for a bit and players being lured away to play for feeder Broncos and Titans clubs in the briz and the Gold coast comp . I know that training for next year has started.....

I have actually found this is working really well as she realises that I leave and always come back! Thanks for all the reassurance, felt a bit irresponsible there for awhile!

diffidently not going to hurt her.. with loving g-parents and someone to play with her... all day that would be my choice!!
