Beautiful one and a half year old female corgi (possible mix but 95% corgi if that is the case) looking for her forever home.
A bit about Chipies past - mostly unknown, she was pulled from a shelter where she had been for over a month and a half in a cage without any exercise. Her owners parents had dropped her off there because the owners were going to drop her off at a kill shelter but they took her and dropped her off at a no kill place, thankfully! They said she was annoying and had no time for her. She was described as totally dog aggressive and unable to live with other dogs.
Chipie today - playful, obedient, sweet, loves to play fetch and herd with the occasional barking! :) She is a corgi after all! She lives with our two boys and does very nicely, she needs to be corrected once in a while as her excitement can go from play to cranky quickly, but rarely.
She is not spayed yet but will be before she is adopted. She walks nicely on her leash with correction. She gets vocal and excited when she sees dogs on her walk and will need work on that, but that is nothing that cant be corrected. She, this weekend played with another dog besides a corgi and did well, barked alot but really understood her role in the pack. She is respectful of our cat. Very respectful actually..
She loves tennis balls and cuddling and has these bashful little eyes that will melt your heart.
She would do well in either a house with dogs (must be fixed) or she would do well alone. I think if she had a companion it would help her socialization, she had not seen another dog since she was a puppy until she was dumped at the shelter so is doing remarkably well.
We are willing to do some moderate travelling to ensure a great home for her. Please pass the word around about this girl - she deserves nothing but the best after a rough start in life!
