Dandruff?

I was Furminating Olive today and noticed that little white flakes (for lack of a better word) were at the bottom of the hair pile. It's been dry here in Cnetral Florida lately, so I'm wondering if it's just dandruff... and if so, what would be the best remedy? I've attached a photo so you can get a better idea of what I'm talking about. Thanks!

Does Olive get enough oil in her food? This may sound strange but my dogs do much better with salmon as I think it gives them the oil they need.I switched to chicken awhile ago, they started scratching and went back to a food that includes salmon.. There are supplements out there or you can even put a little oil over her food.She's not scratching? I have seen this when I've used the furminator also.

scratches every now and then, but nothing incessant. any oil in particular, and how much? we feed her 1/2 cup twice daily

you can buy grizzly salmon oil (liguid pump) on Amazon and it has recomended doses per weight on the bottle or buy human pills and sqeeze out the liquid if your pup won't eat the pill for cheaper. Also a nice oatmeal based spray coat conditioner will help.

I live in Brevard and my corgix gets a bit of dandruff too sometimes when I'm brushing him. I think there are shampoos out there to help with the dandruff. I think Paul Mitchell even makes a line for dogs and it's not too expensive. You could check that out. Howie's flakes aren't too much, so I just do my best to brush them out. Also it could because we're washing our dogs too much. I give mine a bath every week, bc I like a super clean and handsome doggie.. but I know it's not really necessary to bathe them that much. Every two weeks or even once a month can sometimes suffice but I am a little OCD and wouldn't be able to wait that long haha.
