Penny's first experience with snow this morning and it was sooo funny! She put one foot out the door and pushed the snow with her paw and started barking at it...she did that all the way down the stairs. She wanted to come right back in but I coaxed her back outside...then she Frapped around the yard barking like a maniac. The best part though was when she jumped in her pool...well it was frozen...she stood on the ice looking at me and then back at the frozen water under her with this confused look on her face...suddenly the ice broke and in she went. I swear she jumped 3 feet straight up in the air and came down about 3 feet from the pool...she made a beeline for the door and ran in the house...the look on her face was priceless! I can't wait to see what she does with a couple feet of snow and not just a couple of inches! LOL

I know I should be primarily interested in the dog story, but all I kept thinking was "My goodness, snow already!" LOL

Jack absolutely adores the snow and will play as long as we let him. I can't wait to see what Maddie thinks of it.
Trust me...I said the same thing when I woke up to the snow...that and a few choice words! LOL
LOL
I would love it if Soffie & Griffyn could experience snow!!!
We will probaby have several feet of it in a couple of months...come to Duluth! LOL
That's why we were so glad we stayed at a cabin near Grand Marais at the beginning of the week. As we were leaving we heard the forecast for snow and while our dogs love snow, it was a bit early for us and we certainly didn't feel like driving it if we could avoid it. Brody loves the snow, but every year when those first flakes are coming down and he can't quite figure out what they are he goes bonkers barking at them. As soon as there is some on the ground it's hard to get him to come in. Lilly just takes everything in stride.
Lol how cute!
Okay, your description is wonderful and heart-warming -- but, WHERE ARE THE PICS????????? I WANT TO SEE THEM -- lol!
Oh if I had ONLY had my camera ready....I didn't expect the snow so I wasn't prepared...DANG it!
I would have paid money to see that! Hilarious!
Both of ours love the snow the deeper the better.
Lily's first snow last year. It snowed over night about 6". We took her out in the back yard so she could be off leash. When we opened the door she just stood there staring as if she was in an alternate universe. She stood stock still until she accidently got some snow in her mouth, realized it was edible and dove in! Unfortunately we didn't think to bring the camera out until later. She had a blast making bunny-butt trails all day.
