Many, probably most, 10-week-old Corgis will have down ears. Don't worry. If they don't go back up by about 11 or 12 weeks, start taping. If you need instructions, just ask and I'll be happy to help!

Just looked at your pics and Klaus is most definitely pure Corgi. Your vet perhaps should stick to discussing actual medical issues. ;-) Don't worry. He'll be fine.

This may have already happened or been ruled out. I am not sure how old he/she is, but it is often caused by teething. But then again one of my dogs has floppy ears based on her mood, or how tired she is. I hope the vet ruled out anything medical.

I just had to deal with this with my 3 month old corgi. When I first got her, her ears were erect but about a week ago, her ears were flopping to the sides. It made her look like a little goat. I taped up her ears for a day, took it off and taped them up again the next day for a few hours. After that, her ears have stayed up. The only time they flop is when she wakes up from a nap, but usually once she is up and running they are fine.
Maybe try feeding your puppy cottage cheese or a yogurt to give her more calcium, your pup may just have started teething so the ears and teeth are battling each other for necessary nutrients to grow. Don't worry too much about it, Klaus will be fine.

Oh and just to give you an idea on how to tape them, here is Fences with her ears taped up. This was my first attempt and used painter's tape as practice before I did it with normal medical tape.

They often go up and down when they're teething. You can try giving vitamin C to help with calcium absorption, but if they don't go up you can just tape them.

Ace had down ears at 16 wks but he is a Cardigan so that was to be expected. When I started supplementing his diet with plain yogurt, the taping started to really take hold. Previously his ears would start to wilt when I removed the tape for a few hours, but the increased calcium from the yogurt was like a magic wand. Poof! Erect ears in a little over a week! I'd look into taping and adding a bit of calcium to Klaus's diet.

should i tape too or just try the cottage cheese for now?

Since Klaus is 10 weeks today, I would say try to feed him a little cottage cheese ( I gave Fences about a 1/4th cup a day) and wait till he is 12 weeks and tape them then if they are still not standing up on their own.
Also, make sure he has enough toys to chew on for teething. I noticed that whenever Fences was chewing on her Nylabone, her ears would stay for up a while after she was done. I believe the chewing helps strengthen all her facial and jaw muscles.
