So at what age does a corgi get the cute fluffy butt?  Sophie is only 16 weeks, but I cant wait till her fur is all fluffy on her butt?  I know a pretty stupid question, but I was just curious.

Hi Vicki, most corgis fill out by the age of 2.

I think the amount of fluff really depends on the dog, but it could take a year or two for it to really come in.

Ellie has started fluffing out a bit already.  I think it began around 6-7 months old.  She's not totally fluffed yet, but she's getting there.  :)

Franklin has a very thin coat for a corgi, almost like the undercoat is not there (it is but not much of it), so he doesn't have much of a fluffy butt :-( I think his started coming in around a year old. His brown fur used to make a perfect heart on his butt when he had his nub down but as he got fluff it went away :-( was super cute. But as you can see, even now at almost 3 he is lacking in butt fluff

Your Franklin looks so much like my Sophie I am thinking she will look alot like him when she grows up.

I agree, varies by corgi. Luna has so much butt fluff that you can hardly see her nub (only when she wags it! Her sister is very much like Franklin.

Maybe it's a trend for black headed tris, but my Brian (tri) doesn't have much fluff either and he's 2 years old.  Ein (red) on the other hand, has a set of long pants.  See below:

Grace is 21 months and has no chest. Am waiting for her to drop it and strengthen other areas. Your baby is adorable.  Is she still bitting?  She will out grow it.  I  gave a sharp No when they kept it up past a period of time. That usally woorked or a sharp owh!  That let them know they are hurting you.  Fluffy butts depend on the pedigree and I brush the hair out to the side, if my corgi's didn't have much.  Just depends on that breeding. I like her and just to let you know it is easier to groom and when they shed less. :)

Ok, all you Tri Colored owners, Lets here from you.  Does your Tri have a fluffy butt?  or is it mostyl the Sable that have the fluffy but.  It doesnt matter one way or another but I like investigating :)

Isabella is a red headed tri, but she's a fluffy!  So.....major fluffy butt!  I'll have to get a picture...

Well....my Ella is a tri and she is 5 months old.  Not seeing much fluff....not yet anyway.

It took about two years for Coco and Dino to get the fluffly butt. I guess that is their signature
