We dun play with her the next day but she was free to walk around the house. We put her on e-collar to prevent her licking the incision. She was as good as new after 3 days.

I don't know as it's been a long time since I've had a dog spayed but I know for a neuter it's about 3 days and I'm guessing at least 5 days for a spay and then to slowly increase activity...such as walks and gentle play. I would not do a lot of steps or full running but it appears that she is telling you she feels good enough to increase her level of activity some. I would think she could be out of her crate when you're there to supervise her.Since this surgery is much more than most neuters it will take more time to heal.

Leash walks are probably ok at this point (but I'd go by vet's instructions). You do want to keep her from jumping or playing as much as possible for about 10 to 14 days total (or until her stitches come out and the vet releases her). I know it's tough.

I had to clean her area so I let her out of her crate and pet yard today and she took off at a full run. You all know what I mean. She started running in a circle and we realized that she can't be let out yet. She proved to us that she will in fact over do it. Since she is not leash trained yet I worry that she will pull and twist with the leash. It has been 5 days now so I think we will give it another 5-10 days. I have given her some toys to chew to keep her busy and calm. I guess the advances we made on potty training have been lost but I just want her to heal properly. We can start the house training again when she heals up.
