You all have probably seen the post from a week ago from Ashley about this little guy. I am now fostering him, and getting him ready to be adopted. I will be doing this independently of Lakeshore Corgi rescue, as they are still in turmoil. :(
Gunner is so sweet and loving! He gets along wonderfully with my cats, and with both my doggy girls. Ashley has a little girl and he was very gentle with her.
He is very quick at learning and looks to both my girls for direction. I am currently working on housebreaking him, but have not had any issues so far. He tried lifting his leg once and I caught him and took him outside and praise him a lot outside... so he already goes to the door to be let out. I do still have a belly band on him though... just in case!

please let me know if anyone is interest in adoption. I can answer any questions you may have.

Thanks!

Warning! Oona taught him to sleep in flowerbeds! You have been warned. *grumble grumble
Ahhhh LaRissa....he is so very handsome. Thanks for helping him out!
Aww he is a real cutie! Bless you LaRissa for helping him. My husband and Sparty would probably make me sleep in the garage if I brought another dog home....
He's so handsome!!!  I am so glad you could foster him..:-)   I would love to have a sable, but I too, would be sleeping in the garage if we got another one.  I will keep good thoughts for you guys though!
Larissa you are a sweetheart.
I'm interested, but I'm located in Memphis tn :( he looks so sweet
Im glad to see he is doing so well!  After I met you and seen your little girls, I knew if someone could train him properly and quickly it would definitely be you!  So when your finished with him, let me know when to send over Bubbie and Copper, and maybe a little girl named Anna..... lol
Update: Gunner found a new home! The family came over yesterday, and fell in love. They were about to take him, but asked if I could hold him for an hour or two so they could puppy proof their home and buy some toys. Not 10 mins after they left I got a phone call that their son had broken into Hives! They washed him up and waited until the hives went away, so I did a home visit to determine if it was a dog allergy or a plant in my backyard. No hives this time!
Dropped him off earlier today and the family is thrilled, gunner is happy and carefree! Besides the one "almost" marking in my home he never tried to lift his leg in my home. I called to make sure and he is fitting in very nicely and very well behaved at his new home as well! He has learned sit, down, and stay within the 24-48 hours I had him as well. Such a smart puppy following my dogs on commands (always the easiest way to train dogs!  :P )
all in all a happy ending!
Good job! Big thumbs up :)
Fabulous!
You are a saint!  God bless you for doing this for Gunner...I am so happy that he found a great home!
