Hi everyone....I need some help again. -__-' After a run Jogi and I had, he pooed a whole lot and it was different from his other movements. It wasn't too loose but it was a cardboard color, and it's usually brown logs. Now I've been reading a lot on parvo and I need some advice. My parents say I'm over reacting.....am I? Please help me again. I would very much appreciate it.

Perhaps he just ate something odd?  There've been a few times when one of mine have had odd poops.  Keep an eye on him and make sure he's got plenty of water to drink.  If he's not acting odd (aside from that odd poop) I think he'd be ok.  If he develops a fever, has really bad and repeated diarrhea, is listless or vomiting, I'd bring him to a vet.

My dad think it may he a pine cone. I wasn't told that he was given a pinecone and after this happened, my dad was all, " maybe I shouldn't have given him that pinecone." ........-_- we have given him lots of water and he's been drinking a lot and he was all jumpy and playing last might like usual.

If he's acting fine then I wouldn't worry about it.  Just keep an eye on him and see how he does.  If his stool starts to get runny and you notice he's not as energetic as usual, or starts vomiting, then I would call the Vet and make an appointment.  As Ellen has said, it's possible he just ate something out of the ordinary.

Has anything changed with his food? Have you added anything to his diet? If it only has changed in color then I wouldn't worry but would watch it to see if it get runny or any other signs of something wrong. How old is he? Could he be teething?

We actually stopped putting pumpkin in his food and I keep seeing that that makes stool hard. We think that could be a factor also. It actually just got runny last night. He just turned 11 weeks.

If he is lethargic, vomiting, and has soft stool get him to the vet asap. Parvo has a very distinct smell so if this poo smelled REALLY bad and different from his other BMs and it continues to get softer then I'd take him in. Puppies are notorious for getting into things they shouldn't so he may have just ate something, also sometimes a lot of exercise will cause loose stool. I would take him in if it lasts longer than a day or two or if there is any vomiting or loss of appetite. Puppies get dehydrated really fast so you don't want it to go on too long. He may also have intestinal parasites, as almost all puppies are born with them and need to be wormed several times before they completely clear from their system.

He's pretty hyper still. I've been reading about parvo and it scares me! But his poo poo has no strong smell. It's almost odorless, or maybe I'm just used to it. We think it may have been our little exercise we did. We walked/ran about a quarter of a mile. Ten minutes after we came back in that's when he let loose on the porch.

Seanna's always gets looser when she exercises...to the point where it's like diarrhea by the time we're done.  If it keeps up or gets worse, have the vet check him.

Thank you! I'm glad to know that I'm not the only paranoid one here! :) it seems that Jogi is going to have tummy problems for awhile. He was the porker of his litter. But he is very active, drinks water, and loves to play!
Thank you all so much! We truly appreciate the advice and concern! Jogi's stool was runny this morning with a red spot, but an hour later it was more firm and a better color. He is going to the vet tomorrow for his last shot and to get checked out. Hopefully, it was just the lack of pumpkin in his diet and the exercise we did that caused his tummy to go to chaos. Again thank you so much for taking the time to help us. :)
