My darling Ellie has lost 4 of her baby teeth in the last 48 hours...they seem to be coming out okay and I haven't had to perform any " Corgi Dentistry".

I didnt really expect her to lose these baby teeth until she was a little older. She's now 4.5 mths and I thought they lost their teeth around 6 mths (?)

Around what age is "normal"???

I'm also looking for tips with teething...

Thanks

I think that age is normal for losing teeth. By the time Luke was 6 months or so he only had his big canine baby tooth left - and that one needed a little help coming out.

As far as teething goes, my guys go nuts for ice cubes, and there's also toys you can buy that are meant to be frozen. Maybe a kong with some frozen peanut butter or plain apple sauce would help her mouth feel better and keep her busy?

Teething usually starts around 4 months. Keep all your frozen toys close, it is also a good time to introduce her to the toothbrush :)

If she doesn't want to eat it may be because her mouth hurts and many people think they don't like their food. I always just add about 1/2 cup warm water and let it sit 5 minutes or so:)

I have never had a problem with mine teething other than the food issue.

Puppies start loosing their baby teeth as early as 3.5 months.
Ginger started losing her teeth around that time as well.  Actually I think it was a little earlier.  She's almost 7 months old now and she has 1 baby tooth left, one of her eye teeth.  The adult tooth is already all the way in so we're probably going to have to have it pulled.  The vet saide to wait until we do her first dental.
