OK, I know this may sound strange but I have 3 corgis that may be a little too skinny! I had Sage to the vet recently(low energy) and she checked out fine. Wynn and Bella also seem a bit thin also. You can feel their ribs but I know they should have a thin coat of muscle that you can feel over their ribs. They don't have worms either but do get plenty of exercise! I feed them Taste of the Wild, a grain free food a handful 3 times per day. I am thinking that feeding them a bit more would be good. Any thoughts?

did you convert her weight to kg first? and did you look up the dog food calories?  if you are unsure of your calculations, you can post your dog food and dog weight and I can do them for you to check your work.

It is probably just the exercise keeping them thin.  It is much better that they are not overweight.  They should still have a nice waist.  You can't really feel the thin muscle layer that is over the ribs (I am a vet).  I am paranoid about keeping mine thin because so many have back/hips/leg problems due to weight.  You should be proud they are thin.  Good job!  Dogs aren't allergic to grains usually, a lot of times it is chicken or beef.  I have mine on purina pro plan weight management.  Sounds like you are feeding enough.

My corgis get only 1 cup of food a day, with a few tiny treats. The cup of food is even a weight loss food.  My small corgi is 20 lbs and my other is 28 lbs.  They get the same amount because the smaller girl has a faster metabolism.  They have a great body condition with keeping this the same.  I also supplement the treats with veggies/fruits.
I have one of my rescues (Teddy) that I had to reduce his food and replaced  that amount with green beans, he was just at the vet and has lost 1.5 #'s in a little over 11/2 months. He just weighed in at 25.5#'s which is good for his size.. We also have increased his exercise. I don't weigh mine very often but am observant to their size and shape. When we have pups...Wynn gets a bit heavier as I think I must forget and feed him a bit more also.
I might have to try that Marri....Sage is being extremely finicky right now!
Tenby and Chepstow say enough of the food talk, can't you see how this is making all of us poor starving (yes..we have ribs just push a little harder) corgi's crazy.  It is bad enough you all measure our food and watch every little treat, we are just growing little short fuzzy furbabies.  Have some compassion!!!!
Tenby and Chepstow ...know that you are welcome at anytime:)
