for those of you who have more than one corgi. this may sound silly.
but... do you think its better to have just one or more than one. i really enjoy my corgi and would like another one, but i need to think it over and talk to people with experience.

Susan,

I'm not Melvin but I can answer that my 1st,2nd etc. have never" forgot" about me...I am still their main focus.. It is important to give them each some separate attention though! When I get home they all want to be greeted and each one has a special way that they want their attention!
When folks contact me and wish to get a second corgi as a pal for their current dog we do have a pretty good educational conversation. Yes, dogs love playing with other dogs. Doesnt necessarily mean they wish to share their house with them. If one chooses to get another dog it should be for themselves and not for the dog. I also encourage folks to invite friends over that have dogs. If corgis arent used to sharing their home they may have some real possession issues. Food, special chew toys and treasured toys can be a problem for some. I generally have 5 - 7 in residence because of my foster dogs but you can bet we run a tight ship here so we can continue the harmony. At times it is most challenging. Good luck!
Corgis are like Lays potato chips...you can never have just one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My two corgis are the absolute best of friends! They play all the time and even sometimes curl up together and give each other kisses. I think corgis of opposite genders often do the best, though of course two of the same sex can do well together, too. :)
