Hoping for some advice...2 years old VERY active corgi has been limping for the last 3 days. Here's the details:
* left front, licks and chews at his pads on that foot
* seems to limp much more in the morning, more on outside ground, less inside on tile floors
* no noise or pulling away if I push on the pads, pull on nails, or move the ankle joint
* no swelling at all
* still wants to play fetch, walk around, no signs of reluctance to move around or any noises of any sort.
I've examined the pads with a magnifying glass, & saw nothing. I've soaked the foot for 10 minutes in warm, soapy water. No diference.
day one I ignored it. Day 2, I gave a half asprin every 12 hours. He weighs 30 lbs.
day 3, skipped the asprin over night and then the limping was quite bad this a.m. so I waited till noon and gave him another asprin half.
I plan to go to the vet in the a.m. I guess.
But I'm thinkiing bruise? sprain? Nothing can be broken or he'd react when I move the joint and there would be swelling, I think.
Ideas?
