My corgis have been great eaters since we got them. They're a little under 5 months now, and have started being weird about eating. They don't eat as much, and sometimes they don't eat at all. Is this normal? We did just have a weather change from a heat wave to fall-like weather over a 2 day period - could that have something to do with it?

Actually it might be a good thing, most corgis tend to over eat, but if this continue for several days with lethargic behavior, then you may want to get them checked out.
First, they might not be growing as fast and will slow down on their eating some. I have Bella who was not a big eater at all...I had to coax her to eat with an egg or treat(sometimes) now at 2 she looks wonderful but I was beginning to wonder if she was anorexic(sp) She ate well as a pup.She still is not a big eater but does finish her food.I know strange for a corgi!!!
I just took Jasper to the vet for this today. About a month ago (he's about 7 months now), he started "being weird about eating". Like your pups, he was always a really good eater. I was concerned, but thought maybe he was going through a lag in his growth or something. Well a couple of weeks ago, he started vomiting a foamy yellow substance whenever he had a really empty stomach after not eating all day. He still acted normal, but I was worried when he had episodes of that a few times. After talking to the vet, she gave him some medicine for a possible gastric infection but said it may possibly be an obstruction that's irritating his stomach (although she couldn't feel anything). He's supposed to take the medicine for 10 days and we'll see if his appetite improves after that. This may be totally different than what your puppies are experiencing, but it started out exactly like you described your pups acting.
It could certainly be a number of reasons. Ella will go through stages were she will eat more or less depending on weather/exercise for the day/mood/etc. She also eats less now at 14 months then she did at 8 months. One weekend she only ate maybe 2 meals because she was at my dad's house and too busy playing, going on walks, and exploring a new place.
You are the best judge of your doggies. Keep an eye on them and if you think they are acting unusual you may want to get it checked up.
Thanks so much everyone! Well, they're definitely not lethargic, quite the opposite :) Today they ate fine, though it was a little later than usual for them. I'll keep an eye on them - we have a vet appointment in two weeks for their last shots, so I'll keep an eye on them until then.

I experienced this not too long ago with my corgi. She had always been a good eater chomping her food. Then I started giving her fresh food once or twice a week. After a while I noticed she took a while to eat her dry food. I thought she was just by choosy hoping to get fresh food instead. In fact on some days she didn't even want to eat! I had to coax her. This went on for a about 2-3 months. About a month ago Bronwyn had diarrhea. She never had that before so this was weird. This went on for 3 days. On the third day I decided to change her dry food. I bought a bag of Orijen and did an immediate switch and she just went for it. I didn't had to coax her at all and she just gulped everything down. Her diarrhea stopped immediately and even though she gets fresh foods she had no problem eating her dry food.
Our Chepstow stopped eating at about 6 months and didn't regain his appetite until he was 2. He was always healthy and very active but getting him to eat was always a problem. We tried different foods, times, leaving food down, taking it away, I must admit we sometimes hand fed him just to get food inside him. At 2 years old he woke up and decided to eat like a "real" corgi, now keeping him at a good corgi weight has been our new mission in life.
