I like a product called "Get Serious." Available at petsmart.  In my opinion, seems to lift the stains better than nature's miracle.

6 bottles of hydrogen peroxide - walmart

baking soda - walmart

simlple green - non toxic cleaner - sam's club

Bissell Little Green  / spot bot - best portable accident cleaner - link

irobot roomba 500 series - best supplement between upright vacuum - link

Dyson - link

I owned a carpet cleaning company for several years. Natures Miracle is one of the best out there. Follow the directions on the label. For the tough stains that might linger, Woolite Pet stain remover with oxygen did a good job on some vomit stains last week when I didn't have any NM.
I've always used Nature's Miracle for pet stains. If there's something I can visibly see on the carpet after that I usually just use Resolve and hot water. I do have a Bissell little green machine, but I wasn't impressed with their own label of carpet shampoo at all. I got better results treating the stain with resolve first and then just using hot water in the bissell to scrub it out.
I agree with Sam's choices but I don't have the Bissel:)
HARD WOOD FLOORS!!!  I finally got smart and pulled up all my carpet.  We sweep/vac up about 3 dogs a week of fur.  It is unreal how much our babies shed everyday.
The puppy should be off the carpet, dogs develop preferences for surface when eliminating. If he gets used to eliminating on carpet, he will be very hard to housebreak.  Also, if it's wall to wall carpet, the urine will soak into the padding and the scent will still remain after you clean the carpet surface. Prevention is the best way to keep your carpet clean!  That said, Nature's Miracle works well as it's an enzyme based product, and, if you can clean immediately, a water and white vinegar mixture also works well.

Thanks every one... He is going along fine I will wait till he is older for the bananna...  Daisy the older female is enoying his company by night 4 and went back to eatting properly last night...

Right now I have a waterproof tray by the front door with newspaper for him which he has used a few times...

I put him on it each time I see him about too...

Thats only because its so cold cold cold out side right now- he is a fantastic little guy & has not wet or anything once in the chest where he sleeps...

Unfortunatly there was a older sick dog living in this house a few years ago before we meet that wet so much...

Even though I have washed & washed... the little one can still smell although, although through my efforts of cleaning those carpets well the older female Daisy refuses to do any thing inside these days which is great...

I have used resolve & it looked & smelt clean where I lived before latley I have mainly been using prespray & shampoo by Nature Miricle thats why I wondered???  Anyway I will bring more of it home...

I had a bit of fish left for Daisy & Boy last night gee the little fellow was on his way with come...  Poor Daisy was from a puppymill we have had her 10mths she is about 6 although she seems so so timid is very loving & I want to try teaching them every thing together- when I thinkof her first 5 years living in that cage with no love :((( anyway its a bit warmer today chill is only -1 I can take him straight outside...  Thanks again for all your help!!!  Carry
