I know all Corgis have a myriad of verbal, aduitory  and visual cues that trigger all kinds of amusing reactions. One of  best triggers  Gunny has is when I sit at the kitchen table paying bills . He sits by my feet watching intently. He listens carefully for when I tear a check from the check book. He will then run to the back door in anticipation of me  exiting to go to my car for a trip to the bank or to the postoffice. He seems to know that he will be taking a trip in the car to a place where he often gets a snack bone( to two or three) ! They even give me bones to bring home to him when I go to the bank without him.

When he hears aluminum foil or plastic wrap being torn he runs to his food dish. Why you ask?Because I have, in the past, picked up his food dish if he has left the food uneaten for very long ( wet food gets yucky if left out) and I covered it with one of those wraps before putting it in the frig. If I tear the wrap material and his food dish happens to be empty he will whine and run around the kitchen. Bonkers!

What are some of your Corgi's amusing triggers?

Vacuum. Garden hose. Broom (formerly).
Me, when I come home from work, it's a rote pattern: they bark and bark until I get the door open, then they jump all over themselves in their eagerness to jump all over me (this is bad for my ego problem), and then Gwynn will go grab some toy so I can throw it for her a few times, then she'll go and chew it. It's so routine, if it wasn't so endearing, it'd be as boring as punching a time clock.
My Corgi / Englis Bulldog mix, runs for the door anytime he hears keys. He also runs for the bedroom anytime the light in the living room gets turned off. We have only had him 8 days and knows that when we go bye-bye, so does he, and he is the only dog that has ever been allowed to sleep in our bed in the past 10 years!!! He is definitely spoiled rotten!
I can't believe that I forgot to mention Gunny's daily reaction to people going into the shower( especially me) If he sees me grab my bath robe out of the closet he usually jumps up and bites onto it and we have a tug of war all the way into the bathroom..I have to hold it way over my head so he can't jump up and get a hold of it. If it is my husband or one of my kids getting into the shower he will bite the towel that they are taking into the bathroom and try pulling them away from the shower. Corgis and their control freak/separation anxiety issues!!!! Jeeze Louise!!!!!!!!
Franklin goes CRAZY when I say my cat's name "Tiny"- when the cat is bad I just say his name and Frank will run right up to him and bark in his face, saves me the trouble of getting up or finding the squirt bottle!

He also gets really excited/hyper when I fake-scowl at him, I guess I make a certain face when we are wrestling and now I can just scowl at him and he jumps around ready to wrestle.

Also, turn on the windshield wipers in the car and its over, he does anything and everything he can to "kill" them. He even jumped out the window when we were stopped in a parking lot and ran and jumped on the hood to get them!
The word "Chicken". When we say that word Murphy will run over to the lazy Susan and just wait patiently. That's where we keep the chicken jerky and he LOVES it. He also knows the word "walk". He doesn't know "car ride" yet, but I'm waiting for it to happen because we'll go to take him for a walk and he will run over to the car door and wait to be let in. We have to explain that we're taking a walk now. haha He's so silly. I'm currently working on "Go home" so when I take him for walks he can just lead me back to the house and he's doing really well when there aren't distractions. We're also trying "night night" so he can just go right into his crate, but I'm not sure that's ever going to happen since he loves sleeping on our bed. We always end up picking him up and putting him into his bed and boy is he heavy when he's tired.
Lol ! Your comment about how heavy he is when he is tired gave me a real chuckle! My husband and I have given in to the fact that Gunny will never be the watch dog that our late Jack Russell , Button, was. While she would hear a pin drop in the house from even the deepest sleep, Gunny sleeps so heavily that we sometimes get frightened that he isn't breathing and have to shake him to awaken him. He is my sleepy little man.
Tegan's biggest trigger is when I put my feet on the floor in the morning... i's like "FINALLY!" and he runs for the bedroom door. I live with room mates so he runs around in circles in my room like a little nut waiting to go out for our morning walk and breakfast routine.
He also has a huge thing for lights/reflections on the walls. He will stare intently at any moving light or reflections of light on the walls, ceilings, etc. The fridge opening is becoming one, because I feed my great dane rescue wet food and he gets a spoon full, too. Also, the car, if we walk by he has to go stand by it like "Can we go for rides, mom?! Peeeeaaaz?" hahaha He won't sit in the back seat, either, he has to be in the passenger seat where he can lay his head on the center consul and look at me like he's terrified of my driving abilities.
He barks at ONLY my boyfriend when he comes in, not in an aggressive way but as if he wants to alert it's Corey/Daddy coming home and not anyone else. My male room mate can walk in and unless the dane starts barking Tegan won't care. :)

I love my corgi boooy...
When we sneeze, poodeck barks, after each time. This get a little intense as I never seem to just sneeze only once. He knows when it is time to jump on the bed in the morning and wake his dad (aka Pup alarm). So he runs down the hall looking back to make sure I am following. He know the difference between any old car and my Jeep or the UPS truck. He constantly amazes me on how much he does pick up on! We starting spelling "out" so he would not go crazy when it was mentioned--that did not last long; he knows o-u-t means.
Loki has a few, but the ones that are coming to mind are:
When I pick up the house he looks forward to three things, the glass cleaner he like to bark at it.
The vacuum cleaner he loves to tell it he is the boss. And when I pick up his toys and put them in his toy box he has to pull them right back out. (Not sure if it is a game or if he doesn’t like his toy box.)
Does anyone else have a problem with their Corgi barking like crazy when you open the windows?
The other day my daughter put Halloween decorations in her bedroom window, Loki would not stop barking at them until I drew the curtain down so he could not see them anymore. I guess he didn’t want witchy kitties in his bedroom window. LOL
So funny! They seem to find the oddest things to get excited about don't they? Halloween offers some doozies. Gunny barks like a nut at many of the animated things we have around. We have an animated hampster dressed in a karate outfit and it says "HiYa!!!! nThen plays the song Kung Fu Fighting. He became so wacky about that thing that we had to take it off the shelf. He kept looking at it suspiciously as he passed the book shelf where it was and would jump up trying to bite it even when it was silent!!
The good news is that we have discovered that we can get him to come running home very fast by merely yelling Hi Ya! Or singing that Kung Fu song. Works great at those times when he pretends not to hear us calling him in.
Cody goes nuts when he hears someone sneeze...we have no idea why. Not coughing, only sneezing. He will jump right up in your face and look at you as if he is extremely worried about you. It's funny!
He also doesn't like kissing, but this is because he thinks one of us is going to leave the house if there is kissing going on.
Leia barks (like she's yelling at us) to stop sneezing or coughing. Weird! Its hard to teach her not to do that in the middle of a sneeze too! Also, the ice dispenser in our fridge can bring her in from the backyard. She runs to the fridge in anticipation of getting a fallen ice cube! Hahaha. She's so crazy.
