Sarah's Vineyard in Gilroy, CA (www.sarahsvineyard.com) is holding their 2nd Wags and Wine on June 6th, 2010 from 11 to 5 p.m. There will be a doggy costume contest with great prizes. All dogs (not corgis only!) are invited! Frodo and Crystal will be there, at the booth for Furry Friends Pet Assisted Therapy Services (www.furryfriends.com). Come say hi, and drink some wine! -- note, the winery has two corgi mixes, and LOVES corgis!!!!!

Just wanted to post a reminder that the East Bay corgi meet up is at 1:00 p.m. this Saturday at Cesar Chavez park in the Berkeley Marina. We went last month and just had a blast meeting wonderful new corgi and non-corgi friends.

Also, just FYI, the Wine County Corgis will be holding a corgi swim party on June 13th. I hope to get up there. It will be in the Russian River area, so an hour or two from the bay area depending on where you are coming from. For more details, go to www.winecountrycorgis.com and email them... I don't have more details myself yet, and they'd probably want to be emailed so people can rsvp. Looking forward to seeing all the swimming corgis!

Hi, everyone! I just thought I'd go ahead and remind everyone that this Saturday (May 15th) will be the meetup at Shoreline Dog Park in Mountain View (small dog side) at 10 a.m.! Hope to see you all there! I'll be there with both my cardis!

Since our corgis give us an ABUNDANCE of fur, send it off to the gulf coast to be made into "furry" earth-friendly booms to clean the oil spill. Sunnyvale's pet store, For Other Living Things, is collecting your clean human/dog hair/fur until Thursday, May 13 at: 1261 So. Mary Ave. Sunnyvale, CA 94087. Or you can send it yourself! www.matteroftrust.org Thanks! (and nope, I dont work there :P )

Just wanted to let everyone know there's a dog event in Pacifica called Dog Daze on Saturday May 1st from 10AM-4PM. I made an event link to it which you can find here: http://www.mycorgi.com/events/dog-daze-of-pacifica. I hope to see some corgis there!

Join the yahoo group sfcorgis and ask there... I'm on that group but being as I'm in the south bay I usually don't pay much attention :) And if you do find out about a meetup, post it here! http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/sfcorgi
Verify it with them, but their site says:
East Bay
We meet on the 4th Saturday of each month at 1:00 PM at Cesar Chavez Park, in the Berkeley Marina. Cesar Chavez' off-leash dog area is in the center of the park. We meet on the south side near the bulletin board and water at the picnic tables. Click here to get directions to Cesar Chavez Park.

Good morning, all! I'm hoping there is a Corgi-tastic meet up somewhere in the Berkeley/Oakland area (Pt. Isabel or the Alameda Dog Park or ?) on the weekends. If not, would anyone be interested in starting one? Now that the weather is getting better, Tegan would love to meet some new Corgi friends. Thanks! Carol & Tegan
