Fandom is a term used to refer to a subculture composed of fans characterized by a feeling of sympathy and camaraderie with others who share a common interest... Members of a fandom associate with one another, often attending fan conventions (such as science fiction conventions), and publishing and exchanging fanzines... The term is sometimes associated with anime/manga; serious fans of this subject are also called otaku. A person with a devotion to something in a way that places him or her outside the mainstream (Geek).

Comment by Alice on December 20, 2009 at 11:49pm: I saw Avatar this weekend in 3D. It was sooo good. The theater was packed and we ended up sitting in the front which I hate. This was the first movie I saw in 3D and I really liked it. The CGI was amazing so even though the plants, animals and people are so outlandish, they are still believable! I think we're going to see it again not in 3D this time and not sitting in the front. :)

At first I wasn't excited about it because I never got into Avatar but the more the previews revealed the more into it I got. My husband and I went from "ya, we'll see it at some point" to "we're seeing that opening weekend, right". LOL

Comment by Rachael & Waffle on December 2, 2009 at 12:32am: AnimeUSA was the weekend before Thanksgiving, and I saw someone with a Corgi on their head! Not a real one, of course, but what looked like a stuffed animal sewn onto a hat. It was a tricolor corgi with a black saddle, so it wasn't just an Ein plushie from Cowboy Bebop. I thought it was cute. I was two floors up from them on the escalator to the third, so I couldn't comment on it to them. Was it any of you guys, by chance? lol

Since it wasn't a 24 hour con there was lots of time in the morning before they opened the doors and in the evening after when the closed. During the day Ashton got to go to Doggy Day Camp and had a blast. :D
