My husband and I are planning a 9,000 mile expedition around the USA. Pretty much off-road camping in all different National parks. I was wondering if anyone has done something like this before and…Continue

I was looking in to getting Jazmin her own backpack. I know that Annabelle's won't fit her so time to look again. I didn't have any issues with Annabelle and her's but just wondering if it would hurt…Continue

Hi all! First camping trip of the year in the history books! We didn't exactly rough it- we went to Branson and stayed at a reasonably developed campground.
the girls loved it, as usual, however, and were calm enough that they got to sleep in the camper without a crate...(in the past we've been too nervous that they would chew it up).
they also made friends with another corgi girl named Gracie. I didn't get any photos taken this time, but I will next time!
I hope you had a great time! How did Merlin go with limited exercion? Ours expect camping to be full-on activity all the tine!
We couldn't wait any longer to take the pups out camping, even tjough Merlin is only 6 wks into His 2nd ccl surgery.Found a flat campsite over on the Sonoma coast with
views of the bay right out our trailor living room window.A slight incline ramp got the pups into the truck and the trailor just fine.It always surprises Me just how fast We all decompress after just a couple days out in nature.
Woot, warm weather is around the corrner...
Unfortunetly my lil' girl of 8 months old has the stamina of about a flea, were going to have to work with that somehow. I'm currently taking her to the local dog park to get her run on. She dosen't know how to play so it consists of chase, then submissive lay... repeat the process or until she gets board.
I tent camp and do backpacking trips. I know that Annabelle whom is a dachshund did make the trips just fine when she could. She is an old girl now of 10 years so long weekends out combined with the hills of the hike really don't get along with her. Hopefully Jazmin will be able to make those trips, but I do believe that she will have to be worked out first before our first outting.
Sincerely,
Don and Crew
Good to hear that Merlin is doing well! Scout is 6 weeks post surgery now, and it is really difficult to keep him from running, etc! Let him out to potty in the yard yesterday without a leash (my bad)!, and he spotted a squirrel--the chase was on! Had to drag him away from the tree, and inside again--he just doesn't understand.
Hello Don!
well we camp in a tent trailer as a family (husband, wife, daughter, two dogs) but I'm inspired to hike locally more with the furgirls now that I see how much others' corgis can hike.
Hiking is my camping joy, and I can certainly do it more around home too!
Howdy everyone,
It's nice to meet you'll, I'm Don, food provider and entertainment source for Jazmin. Glad to be here and find out that corgi's can with stand camping.
I'm more of the John type of camping, backpack, stove, mat and necessary provisions to keep weight light. Just wanted to make sure that if Jazmin goes out on a day trip she will survive it.
I also do Disc Golf, hiking and various other types of outdoor entertainment, been cooped up last 3 months and the spring winds are calling my name..
I'll loose my walking partner for a few weeks come end of April, she is getting spayed. No more " No, Jazmin, leave it...that's not my disc" for a bit. Not looking forward to lack of company.
None to say the least, nothing like stringing up a hammock and having a corgi lay with ya. Who needs a blanket then, lol.
Anyways, nice to meet you'll, if I'm on the site, likely I'm in the chat box ( can be found at the very bottom of your web browser, it says " MyCorgi Chat" ) so pop in for a time if you would like.
Take Care,
Sincerely
Don and Crew
