The Animal Kingdom Lodge is pretty cool....animals on the hotel property, so you look out the window and you might see a giraffe, zebra, giselle, or a more exotic animal, which I am not smart enough to be able to name.  I am hoping to make it over to the parks on Christmas...totally crazy on my part as I believe it is the busiest day, but I have never been on Christmas, so we may check it out in the afternoon.  They have a huge gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian, so I want to go by there and then see if we can even get in to the park (if they haven't reached capacity by the time we get there!)

I have eaten at Animal Kingdon Lodge at Christmas. It was packed. Not sure if I would stay at the hotel.

Even as close as we are, we have stayed down there for the weekend many times.  Fort Wilderness is fun (they have fake camping or real camping...I prefer the fake camping!) We've stayed at Port Orleans, Animal Kingdom Lodge (highly recommend), Coronodo Springs, Key West Club, and I am sure a few others I am forgetting.  It is fun to go and stay for the weekend during the Food and Wine Festival.  If you have never eaten at the Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge, it is a LOT of fun! The servers are a HOOT! We were there one time with a family from Spain, and they didn't speak much English and I believe it was their first time to the US.  The Cafe has a tradition (one of many)that if you want ketchup, you have to stand and holler for it (or the server will holler for you), and whoever has the ketchup has to bring it to your table.  The dad of the family called the server over and asked if this was a normal custom in the US.  He obviously found it quite strange. (I about fell out of my chair laughing at overhearing this conversation!)  Once the server explained it, the dad really got into the spirit of it and would get so excited if they had the ketchup and someone else needed it.  So much fun!

I think that Walt would be happy to see what has happened to his ideas that started with a mouse.

Did I forget to say that I stayed at Saratoga Springs when it first opened. I like that place but it was not close to anything. Next time back to Boardwalk. Would like to go to Beach Club soon

Come on down! The more the merrier! :)

I am one of those annoying Disney self-proclaimed experts that has to share my favorite tips, places to eat, shows to see, rides to ride with newbees, whether they solicit my opinion or not!

Me and Dino are moving in with you. I am going to try to post a picture of Coco with a princess hat on from DW on my page.

Having grown up in Central Florida, I have always had a world with Disney World in it.  We only live about 45 minutes away and have been annual pass holders for several years now.  And, even after countless visits, it is still one of my favorite places to spend my free time, especially at the holidays.

I have stayed at Contemporary and Port Orleans riverside but mostly and my favorite is Boardwalk. It is 432 miles from my house to the gate. Did I say that I love that place

Modern Marvels on the History channel is showing Walt Disney World. I love that program and the place. I learn something new everytime I see it.
