Ok, the owner of the Canine Ranch just called me back. She can do Sunday afternoon on October 24th, or November 14th. Cindi, you have to come! So, it looks like we are looking at November 14th, an afternoon. She will schedule us a block of 2.5-3 hours depending on how many corgis we have there. The herding trainer actually takes each dog out multiple times to see what they do with the sheep. Should I go ahead and book this date? So far, we have Rosebud, Lucy, Twinkie, Duchess, Dara, and Gracie... This event is going to be awesome.

Avery, we are out of town with our fur-less children the 23rd-24th. Please feel free to use this date though. I know that no date will work for EVERYONE. I would never want to have someone else have to miss because of us.

Hey Brigitte! We can work around scheduling both. I am still waiting to hear back from canine ranch about dates/times. I emailed and also called and left a message. I was going to ask them about the weekend of october 23-24th just to see what was available, and the first few weekends in November. Dara and Gracie, it would be awesome if you guys came! We are already up to over 5 dogs, so we can plan on $30 a dog. My dogs sure do love to herd my cats so it will be interesting to see what they do with sheep. I will give everyone an update as soon as I hear from the canine ranch.

Oh sorry! I did mean Sunday the 7th. My mistake!

Cindi - if it is a Saturday, November 6, I won't be able to come. My mother-in-laws birthday day is that day and we are planning a surprise party. I could do a Sunday though. I would love to see Camp Bow Woo though and would love to come with you to check it out. All of the ideas sound so wonderful and fun. I would love to be in a room full of Corgi butts! If I am not mistaken, it sounds like the Canine Ranch is more of a specific event rather than a play date. We might be able to do both. I am willing to help in any way!

As the Dogma day care is an inside venue we can push that back in the colder months also.

Hey Guys, just heard back from Dogma dog care. They rent out their indoor space on Sunday for $50. This includes them setting up chairs and tables, water dishes for dogs and they clean up. We can bring in snacks for puppies and food and drink for the humans. No per dog fee or set time limit just the flat fee. They man the front desk from 3pm-6pm on Sundays but will come in earlier if we want to come earlier (that is included in the flat fee also).

Avery, is this too much too close together? Do you want me to push Camp Bow Wow back so we can do Canine Ranch in November? Maybe we can do a Corgi Christmas party since the one here is indoor-outdoor? Let me know. I don't want to step on your toes. Cindi

Just spoke to Jeff at Camp Bow Wow. He is reserving the date, November 6th for us. He wants me to come and look at the facility so I know it work for us. He also wants everyone to know that we will need to bring shot records when we come. They require Bordatella within 6 months of our date. I will have to take Twinkie to get hers up to date. I think its not a bad idea since it is an airborne virus. Obviously, everyone needs to be up to date on their other vaccinations. He is trying to work on pricing so I have told him we have at least 5 owners. Once we post it under Events we will probably get more. That's where we are now.
