Our daughter's first experience with HP was the audiobooks by Jim Dale. I bought the first one for her to listen to in the car on the way to Florida and she was HOOKED. (he won a (Grammy for the first one!)
Amazing as it seems, he really has a different voice for each character.

@Niki Firmstone,

Have you listened to the CD's narrated by Jim Dale. . .you'll absolutely love them. He gets into each character as he reads along. Don't know how he does it. I have a hard time playing my own character let alone dozens. . .LOL

I can't wait to get the last two dvd's to complete my set.  I've read all the books over & over.  Even have Hermione's book on Beedle The Bard's tales.  Although my fav is the Harry Potter movies, Holly loves Jamie Oliver & Amber watches, Hachi.

Elizabeth, I believe they are releasing HP & the Deathly Hallows around Thanksgiving/first two weeks of December. So hopefully someone will get you the boxed set for a present!!!

I am anxiously awaiting a boxed set. We have the first two on VHS of all things, and didn't want to replace until we can just do them all in a nice collector's boxed set. Then we can lock the whole family in for a marathon weekend!

Date- July 14th, time was 10:00pm. We arrived at the drive in with our one month old son in his carseat.....myself and my husband in our robes (Me- Gryffindor; Carlos- Slytherin). Positioned our vehicle in front, center of the screen and await the other moving playing to end.

12:01 am-As soon as the movie started, I was crying (post-partem is a mofo!) holding my wand in hand with my scar drawn on my forehead, wearing my collared Gryffindor shirt and wearing a time turner. I cried at least 6-8 times during the movie. Loved it soo much (and trying to hold on to the last bit of an AMAZING LIFE CHANGING phenomenon that has been a part of my life for the last 12+ years) that we saw it again that Sunday at the drive in. Hee hee. We plan to go again VERY soon. Drive in was an awesome option considering we have a newborn!!

Since then I have been on a Harry Potter marathon mode. :D When we have our son doing "tummy time" in his Boppy pillow, he will turn his head to watch Harry. ALSO!!- I have this Harry Potter figurine/toy that is attached to the ceiling above his crib that FLIES in a circle!!!  Our son loves to watch it go round and round!

@Elizabeth, Hermione and Luna,

I've seen it 5 times so far. I cry everytime and will continue to see it again. I too am sad that this is it but that's the nice thing about DVDs. . .you can continue the adventure. Can't wait till it comes out on DVD which should be around Thanksgiving/Christmas time. . . .

So.....is everyone surviving the end of the line? My daughter is especially sad.  She made us stay at the movie until "the screen is black".  The movie was GREAT, but I'm too old, seeing it at 1am (basically) means that I'll need to see it again!

@Elizabeth, Hermione and Luna,

I know what you mean. . .I felt like they were old friends too. I couldn't believe it. After the Hand Foot and Wand Ceremony, they came out on the street and signed autographs (for those who could get in front. . .lol)
