I was disappointed that the Houston Corgi Club didn't have their Halloween party this year, we've gone to it before and it was a lot of fun. I found a couple of other options in case there isn't enough interest in a Corgi specific event:
There is always the Petsmart thing, unfortunately we wouldn't be able to do it during the week.
Oct. 31, Howl-O-Ween Fest Doggie Parade and Costume Contest, Cypress area. http://www.houstondogpark.org/events.htm
Nov. 7, Woofstock, Clear Lake area http://www.bayareapetadoptions.org/woofstock.html

I've never been and I'd love to try it!

Ok guys, I'm trying to do some research for a Halloween get together. If we were to do the dog park thing, the weather might not cooperate. Has anyone been to My Dog & Me before? They have an open indoor play area that is open on Saturdays and if there was enough interest, the smaller area can be rented for a private party. Just throwing it out there.

Oh no! That stinks. Guess we're not having the Halloween meet there! Corgis are above mud (well, not that far above, but still).

We didnt stay long. just long enough to get covered in mud. was pretty disappointed too. :(

Sugar Land dog park was disappointing. There weren't a lot of amenities and no concrete so it was a mud pit. We will keep going to Bill Archer. Maybe over time Sugar land will make some improvements.

Hi you guys! The Petsmart on Taylor and I-10 (Heights Area) is having a dog costume parade and contest Tuesday the 20th. It's at 7:00 to 7:30. Pengu is going to be a pirate ship (homemade costume) and Galoot is going to be a shark(store bought costume). I'm sure it's going to be funny! If any of ya'll live in the inner loop area it would be cool to meet some other corgis and their humans!
