Hi everyone. I am new to the site. My name is Amy and my corgi is Maggie Mae. I haven't uploaded pics yet!! I am a teacher working on my master's so I can teach college. I am a mother of 7 kids, 6 boys and 1 girl. The boys actually wear out the puppy and she hides to get rest, it's too funny. She is my baby and very spoiled. I have always loved corgis and Maggie is the second corgi I have had in my life.

I haven't tried that w/any of mine yet. I use to do it all the time w/the Akitas. I do however, put my Corgis on the treadmill. A few of them love it!!

Hello, my name is Teresa. I have been showing corgis for two years and I am starting up my own breeding program with the help of some breeders that have been breeding for a long time. I also have been helping some breeders that have older dogs that need to find a forever home. I feel that as a breeder you must be resonsible to ever corgi you have and make sure that it is well taken care of at all stages of life. I will be going to a dog show this weekend and I am very excited about the turnout this year.

We do a lot of networking indeed - mostly local so far. Right now, aside from the workers at our thrift shop (from which 100% of profits go toward our program), there are only two employees: the executive director, and myself (I started a couple of months ago so I'm so far "unofficially" the executive assistant). So as you can see, we simply don't have the manpower to reach out nationwide at the moment. It would be ideal if we could. There have been other programs such as ours. New Hampshire, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont, Maine, Massachusetts, and New York have all had successful spay/neuter subsidy programs that have helped to eliminate unnecessary euthanasia in those states. haha, you got me started.

Right now, AnimalKind is working to get more county funding. So we're getting there, slowly but surely.
