I would like everyone who becomes a member to please introduce yourselves and the profession you are in or how you may assist members in this group. This is the perfect timing to brag a little here. Let us know what you've done for the community concerning dogs, helping unfortunate dogs, or just the general well being of dogs.

I just visited the site and its impressive. Now my wheels are turning. Wonder if you contacted the bigger clinics if they couldn't sponsor or donate to get this more nation wide. Give vets continuing education points for volunteering. I'm sure you guys contact local organizations and clubs for donations or helping to build this to a national level.

Unfortunately no. We're a very tiny organization in Durham, North Carolina. We serve five counties right now but don't have the funds for more. We may soon be developing a statewide hotline for people who are looking for spay/neuter options in the areas we don't serve. Meanwhile, it's grants, grants, and more grants. It's tough going. A lot of people don't even realize there are resources out there like ours. And most of the demographic we serve don't have internet or television - or even homes sometimes. What a wonderful organization you work for. Is AnimalKind a national organization?

Hello. Just joined. I'm Mariana and my corgi is Ofelia. I work for a nonprofit organization in the Raleigh/Durham area, North Carolina. It's called AnimalKind. We help low-income pet owners to spay/neuter their dogs and cats when otherwise they wouldn't be able to afford to. I wish I could take Ofelia to work with me, but at least sometimes I can work from home and she sits at my feet.

What are some of the special things you do w/your corgis since there are so many busy professionals here? Your schedules have got to be hectic w/kids, careers, and then the dog.

My name is Mara Bailey and I am from a small town in Emporium PA. I am not sure how I can assist anyone but I have a 1 1/2 year old Corgi- named Circe. She is the love of our life. We have two children who adore her. I work for the county as a probation/parole officer.
