He was in a class by himself...the only dog in Excellent A. So, we went home with the Blue. I always write our score and the class size on the back of each ribbon...keeps me humble. My favorite by far is the 3rd in a class of 9. :D
Oliver is VERY cute and he did Really Well, it looks like he really just passed one jump. How did the other dogs do?
Hi everyone! I posted the video from our first Excellent attempt last Saturday. Not stellar by any means, but I learned a lot from watching it. http://youtu.be/bSrxh19Vnow
Nevermind.......I got this kennel yesterday and it's a perfect size for events :)
What size dog travel carrier is good for competitions?
My dog is lean and weighs 25 pounds. He is 28 inches long, 16 inches tall.
Would a 19"H x 20"W x 27"D be ok just for an hour at a time at competitions?
LOL. I know what you mean. Oliver was in a class by himself last Saturday. Managed to scrape 1st place with an 85. (He opted to run past the jump when I sent him rather than going over.)
Hello Anne (& Oliver),
I received my program in the mail & it looks like we are both the ONLY people/dogs in our respective catagories. So, I guess the challange is to not DG :o)
We're doing the obedience because that's what we train for in class. I take Sonny to the German Shepherd club to train (it's close to my house and has great prices). It's cute to see 9 shepherds, 1 great dane, and then little Sonny all lined up doing their sits and downs :-)
Excellent! My entry's is going out in today's mail. Rally Excellent A only (I'm a chicken). I'd love to hear how OBN goes.
So you know, you should get a confirmation letter and entry number about a week before the show. This will also give you the number of dogs that are entered in each event. Rally is slated for first thing in the morning. Excellent B will likely run first, followed by A. Then Advanced, then Novice.
Can't wait to meet you and Sonny. :)
I mailed my entry today, we're going to try Obedience Beg Novice A and Rally Novice A. I'll look you up when we get there to say hi to you and Oliver :)
