Yikes!! That's too bad! Did you go through the fenced in dog park section?? They have a place where you can hose off. Soffie and Griffyn HATE it but, it definitely gets the sand off!
I hear Fort DeSoto has a great dog beach too. And I think that's close to Sarasota. Or..... is that one in the same with Lakeview??

Yeah, Venice. We'll try again. I don't think I'll ever get the sand out of my car! Probably go to Lakeview tomorrow.

Hey, Bob.... were you at the dog beach in Venice?? Both times we went there with S & G, we had a great time!! Let us know how it went at Lakeview.

Update. The beach did not go well. Too many very large dogs running in a pack back and forth. Sparky was not happy with the gulf at all. The small dog area is so incredibly small it's not worth going there. I think I was spoiled in Orlando! We will try the Lakeview paw park in Sarasota later this week.

Sparky is in the house!!! We are moving to Nokomis from Orlando. I lived in Sarasota years ago, so it's like coming home. Look forward to seeing some of you around. Looks like we'll be spending time at the Venice park and on the jetties, if it's allowed. That used to be one of my favorite places. So, if you see a cute little tri fuzzy butt, stop and say HI!!

The dog park in North Port is open. We went over the weekend and stayed in the little dog area. It's nice and big enough, not as big as the dog park in Venice but still pretty big. The only thing I didn't like about it was that there aren't many places for people to sit and the "fresh water" doesn't smell very fresh.

there were lots of other dogs there and they were all very friendly. It was a good time, I would recommend. I have a feeling we will be spening lots of time there this winer.

This Sunday (Sept 26) weather permitting we're planning to be at the dog park in Estero, Fl. We plan to get there around 10am and hang out until around noon or so. Anyone else who wants to join us, we'd love to see you. It would be fun to have an inpromtu corgi gathering!!

we also had a blast at the dog beach in Venice, Florida. Very clean and a great area for rinsing off! I would highly recommend this beach!

I'm a snowbird - only come down in the winter - this will be Amos' first trip to the beach - can't wait for the first of November! Hope to meet some Corgi friends!
