Any chance of a Meetup for corgi owners in the St Petersburg, Florida area around Jan 10 to Jan 18th 2016?  We are coming from D.C area for a vacation at that time.  We have reservations in that area.

When you know the date, let us know. I think we can arrange a meet up at the beach.

Hi! I'm a Boston (new) corgi owner, originally from Florida and will be visiting my parents in Venice in a couple weeks with my little Schatzi! We'll be right down the street from Brohard Park, hope to see some other corgis around :)

Brohard park is where we were. Late Sunday afternoon. Nothing but LARGE dogs ruling the beach. I just got back from Woodmere park in Venice. Not any better than Lakeview park. All dirt, no grass. No water in the small dog area. There were 8 inch gaps under parts of the fence between the two sides. I don't know if I'm being too critical or if I was spoiled in Orlando, but Sarasota county could learn a lot from Orange county on how to build and maintain an off leash dog park.

LOL!!! I guess we were talking about two different beaches in Venice!! Here' where we have been twice and absolutely loved it!! Browhard Paw Park http://www.venice-fla.com/beaches.htm

Yup, we went through the fenced in part.
Lakeview Park is off of Bee Ridge and I75 in Sarasota. You have to go through the big dog area to get to the small dog area. There is no water available in the small dog park. No grass to roll in, only dirt and leave debris.
I think today we'll try Woodmere Park in Venice.
