Borgi is 3 years old...he's breed is rare in my place esp.the tri-color.when they saw Borgi they'll say"so cute" then a follow-up question what's his mixbreed.they think he's half german shepperd.Bbbbrrrrr!!!!
Lilly and I are very glad to be a part of the Tri group! And yes, people ask if she is a mix...no, I have to tell them she is actually registered...Her full name?
Awesome Cuteness That Is TigerLilly. I know, a little over the top, but look at that face!!
Thanks Gale! I think Max is very handsome to! His black head is really pretty. It's cool how all tri's have variations in head coloring! Razzo's is changing little more red with black overtones so see what color he will be at a year old!
People always ask if Murphy is some kind of mix. Someone thought he was a German Shepherd/Terrier mix. I don't see how he could be. Looks like a cute little Corgi to me and i'd have it no other way.
Oooops! I think this might be too gigantic, but I'm not sure how to change it! Anyway, so here's our BHT girl, Flossie. She's a little firecracker who's already acting like she's going to be an excellent little worker! I'll wait to post any pics of her littermates, till I figure out how to change the size, LOL.
My Isabella isn't too keen on the rain either! Of course, she MUST go out but sometimes it is a challenge to get her out on the grass. Once, she got her two front paws on the grass but squated and peed right on the concrete, covered patio. Funny girl!
we are having a hard time letting rocky off his leash he wants to run after the other dogs in the neighborhood and play lol then we have to run him down any suggestions?
I dread when maggie is off the leash. she is a mad woman and chases anything moving and then refuses to come when called. But on the flip side, we have not yet taken her to school (plan to after the holidays) so this behavior is our fault for not properly training her. Have you tried dag school?
Chula will be one year old tomorrow! She is very active! I have started taking her to the lake for a three mile run and that seems to settle her down some. She went to dog school and did very well but she's never been outside without her leash. I did have to buy a longer one though because she likes to run and I hurt my back and can't keep up with her. I have a 16 foot leash and I let her have the full reign unless we're around people or dogs.
Corgis are so active! Maple is none stop sometimes and I have no idea where she gets all this energy! Then I remember, it's in her blood. She is a chaser by nature! there is no stopping her! lol But I love her to death for it !!!!
Happy Holidays to you all and your furry little friends =)
Our little girl is now over two years (by one month!), and is definitely full of energy. She also displays her strong herding instinct by trying her best to herd us! She'll jump on the back, side or front of our legs depending on where she thinks we should be! She also tries to herd our older dog, Bear, who is a mix of black Lab and Chow. I think she has more Lab disposition, lucky for Morna. We have also learned to use our BACK door b/c she would slip out the front door and we'd have to chase her all over the neighborhood. Advantages to that is that we have gotten to know people in our development that we didn't know before Morna had to be cornered in their yards. :)
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all my fellow Tri owners, and to their Tri's from Morna!
I've had R&W Pems since I was a kid and am thrilled to finally have my very own tri-boy. I've been drooling over all the tri's since I joined mycorgi. So here's to all of your beautiful tri's and here are a few of my boy, bec I can't choose:
I still see more red & whites, but there are many corgis in S. CA. When I was a kid in NY, no one had corgis. Everyone assumed mixed breed or some puzzled, "is that a breed??" But, when we have Ricky out alone (w/o Lucy our r & w) everyone seems to recognize that he's a corgi. I just realized even are cat, cali, is a tri. She's a calico and the same colors as Ricky-Rafa.
when i took teddy down town here in DC to do therapy training, the people who had corgis didnt know that tris existed let alone a bluie tri lol it was funny to see the get excited, "o look a corgi! we have one but he/she is a tan and white one. never knew there was tris"
Belle is my first tri of my five corgis and she is beautiful. BTW, that is Mickey wearing his flower hat in my profile pic. While not a tri he can be trying.
On 10-30, my brother, George, received a call from his niece, Robin, up in Santa Barbara; about 2 hours North of us. She walks her dog on a path near the Marina and has made wonderful pet friends and their humans. She met Natasha who had this beautiful little Corgi named Andy. Natasha told Robin that she found herself in a dilemma. She loved her Andy but found she couldn't keep him anymore so she was looking for a new home for him.
Robin called George and he told me about Andy. At the time I had no idea what Andy looked like so Robin texted us a picture of Andy. OMG I was in love. He is absolutely gorgeous. Now how could I resist. I told George to tell Robin we'd come up on Sunday, Halloween, to pick him up. We packed snacks, plenty of water and put the Pupsters in the car. I think it's important for dogs to meet one another to see how they will get along. We went to the Marina to meet Natasha and Andy. Well you'd think the Pupsters always knew each other, they chased one another, did somersaults and what I like to call the football stance (when they line up with their butts in the air getting ready to tackle). They had a wonderful time. We followed Natasha back to her house where she gave us Andy, all of his belongings and his medical records (very important).
We had to make a couple of pee stops for the Pupsters along the way back home and they continued with chasing and playing. When they arrived home, they took off into the backyard like bullets and played some more (what a dog's life. . .LOL). They finally came in around 7:30 last night, fell asleep and didn't wake till almost 3:00 a.m. this morning, 11-01-10. They were so tired they didn't even want breakfast this morning. That's a temporary state-of-mind cause we all know how much Corgis like to eat. . .LOL
So that's the story of Andy, our new little fur-baby, and how he came to be.
I've had plenty of dogs in my life but never have I come across a dog that has stolen my heart. Corgis are so special that once you've had one, you are truly in love and know in your heart that this is the dog that will fill your world with lots of love and BIG SMILES. Plus they make the best companions. They rely on you for comfort, love, plenty of attention and can't forget that FOOD!!!!!
Remember, Corgis are like potato chips, you can't just have one.
Hi Everyone. I started out with one Corgi, Jake at the age of 10 wks. old. He stole my heart and soul right away. Two years later I went on the breeder's website and discovered that Jake's mother was retired from breeding and showing and was up for adoption. I immediately contacted the breeder. I just had to have Chloe because she was Jake's mother. She was my second Corgi. At the same time, a friend of mine from Toronto adopted a tri girl named Sally who was also up for adoption by the same breeder.
After she had her for 2 1/2 months, she decided she couldn't keep her. I was heartbroken for poor Sally. She had been in 3 previous homes for breeding and had just finishing raising her second litter of 10 puppies. I didn't want to see her go back to the breeder to be re-homed again so I took her in. She is the sweetest girl you could ever meet. She lets you do anything to her (brush, trim nails, clean teeth .... anything) and she never complains. She is a good watch dog too. She lets us know when someone strange comes near and warns all the other dogs. She loves to play with our other dogs and fit in with the rest of the pack very nicely. She is 5 yrs. old. I want you all to meet Sally.Her%20majesty%20Queen%20Sally%2015Jun10.JPG
