Al is a Total Dude.

Red Mtn. summit, 10/12/09, an easy scramble from Snoqualmie Pass (I-90). 3 hrs. from the car, dawdling all the way.
Windy and COLD, even in full sun. The background peaks, Chimney Rock and Lemah, are the most rugged peaks in this area, more like the North Cascades. Glorious fall colors and smells.
Thanks to ballot box stuffing by MyCorgi.com members, this photo won the 2010 Washington Trails Association Photo Contest, "Offbeat Outdoors" division.
There is a huge vertical drop right behind him. Sit. Stay.
I love this photo but now it is touched by tragedy -- a skier fatality right here Feb. 2011. The cornice collapsed. Live, love and be careful.
