For the most part, my Rex is good with other animals. He will play with cats and dogs, I can take him on walks with other dogs, etc. However he will turn on them when it comes to food and toys. The…Continue

My little guy likes to roll in rabbit poop, every day. I'm pretty sure we have bunnies living behind our garage. Anyone have an ideas on how to politely get them to move out? Continue

About Me:
I'm a Welsh Corgi lover! My corgi passed away in December, and I just adopted my current corgi, Rex. I work at a veterinary hospital and my interests with pets are nutrition and grooming.
Welsh Corgi Breeder?
About My Corgi(s):
I adopted Rex in March of 2011. He was a hefty litte fellow at 43 pounds, and since July I have been able to maintain him at 30 pounds. He is much happier and healthier now!

He loves kitties and other corgis, but he is selective of other breeds.

He has very sensitive feelings and is definitely a mama's boy!

Back pain.

Posted on February 2, 2013 at 12:07am 4 Comments

Errrgh. So Rex is experiencing his first bout of back pain. I knew this day would come, but I was hoping not so soon! He's almost 7. I got a new bed and it's higher up, and he's just jumping on and off it constantly. He has a step that he uses to go up, but not on the way down. So he might just have to be crated at night, which really sucks. He doesn't understand why he has to be in a crate at night all of a sudden. I didn't realize how much jumping he…

Day 3.5 of Rex

Posted on March 7, 2011 at 10:51pm 2 Comments

It's my 3 1/2 day of having Rex, and he's so good natured! I brought him to work meeting today (I work at a vet) and he was good with all the animals that sniffed him out today. Cats, dogs, and a tortoise! He wasn't quite sure what to think of the turtle!

What a joy it is to have a dog that doesn't have so many problems! I loved Conan, but he brought a lot of stress in our life at times with the barking and biting.

Now I get to do all the stuff I missed out…

Thanks for the reply Emily. We now have Tank who this is his 4th home (they lady at the rescue didn't know this until she did the paper work since he had been in a different shelter and returned)  and he's about a year old...he is just a great dog and I'm glad I chose him since I think he would have been the hardest to find a good home. We love him:)
