Waitng For New Baby

It's funny how exciting it is to get a new puppy. My Husband and I have do not have children so our Dougy is like our baby. This new corgi will be our new arrival. I have jittery excited nerves right now and already feel the motherly instinct coming back. I don't know if dogs are substitutes for children but I like it a lot.

I think she's closer to 10 if not past 10 pounds now. I am just increasing her food intake, and probably should have a little before now.

I want to get another corgi too. Most dogs, I think, need a buddy to play with. We have a basset hound (Blossom) also. She's 11 years old and slowing up some. Getting Baylee has been so great for her. She's getting a little more exercise now that involves alot of dodging, twisting and turning, something she wasn't used to. It's good for her pudgy, waddle bod. I never realized how much another dog loves another dog playmate. Baylee and Blossom are the best of girlfriends. I think Dougy will be in 7th heaven with his new buddy!! You guys will have a blast watching them play too. I know I would!!!
