"My hteory is that he is a bit picky but will eat his food when he is hungry enough (in the evening). Its a simple enough thing to test. Other than that, trust your intuition, ask the advice of your vet and try not to worry too much. --That being…"

Honey is doing so much better!

Its been a week tomorrow since she has been off of her kirkland's healthy weight food (consequently so has our kitty) and on Premium Edge Healthy Weight I. What a HUGE difference!! Both of them have a shine back in their fur. Honey's pot belly is pretty much gone and she is starting to become more active and playful. I just can't believe how much it was affecting her. I don't know if I should report her problems or chalk it up to crappy food. Either way I will be getting a refund on her food…See More

About Me:
I have many hats...
I am a nursing student at the UT Health Science Center San Antonio. I am trying very hard to do well. :) I am pretty sure I want to work in the operating room after i graduate. Though I'm only half way through with school, so who knows what i'll end up doing!
I am also engaged to a fantastic guy. I invoked the magic of 'you-find-the-ONE-only-when-you-aren't-looking' right before I began nursing school. I really think that if you are desperate for love, you'll settle, as I have done before. This time... I decided. :)
More to come...
Welsh Corgi Breeder?
No
About My Corgi(s):
We adopted Honey from my grandparents this winter. My grandparents had another Corgi and they fought all the time. She is 6 years old. Now we are trying to help her socialize properly to other dogs... its been a L-O-N-G process. She is finally adjusting to having a feline housemate (and vice versa).
I have:

Medical Problems w/update

Posted on November 3, 2010 at 11:55pm 17 Comments

She's had pancreatitis before and had heat stroke this summer. She has lameness in her hind legs and pain in her left shoulder. She is lethargic, drinking a lot and has developed a pot belly w/elevated liver enzymes. I just miss my happy, sweet girl. -_- The first vet i took her to last week was not helpful.... kept saying "oh watch out she's overweight, she's headed toward diabetes." Never mind that minus the pot belly she does not even look overweight. Her normal vet is going to see her… Continue
