The lads are both over 2 years old now and it is nice that they don't feel the need to destroy everything around them.  I think it was a teething thing and not really a negative trait.  I have given them back some of their more delicate toys and so far there has been no destruction.  They are still just the best kids in the world and being with them is the highlight of my day.  At this age they seem to be more independent of each other, which is surprising as they have always been so close. … Continue

Ran ran (his nickname) is one today. Amazing how time goes by and how fast he has grown. Randy is a little guy, won't make his brothers size most likely. Still I think he is a beautiful Corgi and gets better looking each day. He is a momma's boy and kisses me all the time. Ran still has his cute puppy morning voice, that unfortunately Leo out grew. The boys are having some dog cake, real ice cream and bones from the butcher shop. Should be quite a party.

Wow they grow up so fast. Randy is going into the hospital tonight and having his surgery (neuter) in the morning. I will be glad when it's over and I get to bring him back home. Leaving him there is so hard and waiting for the call that all is well. I will be praying until I get him back safe and sound. It's gonna be interesting keeping him calm and quiet with his big brother around but I'm sure we will manage.

Happy birthday Leo. Hard to believe he is already a yearling. Randy and me are going to try to make this a special day for big brother. I'm thinking some steak for supper and cake with ice cream. Maybe a bone from the butcher shop would be nice too. They do grow up so fast.

Today is my oldest (and only human) son's birthday...he is 28. He has never met the Corgis but I am hoping to fly him over here in October for a dual birthday party with me. I know he will become a Corgi fan once they get together. Jack where ever you are today, mom is thinking of you and sending a big hug and lots of Corgi kisses your way.

Well the lads decided to chew the cord for the sprinkler system yesterday. Leo has never bothered it in the (almost) year he has been here in the backyard. Randy must have discovered it and Leo joined the fun. Thank goodness there is no power to it at all when the system is off. This is my bad as I should have found a way to cover it long ago..or it should have been installed that way in the first place (blame Rob..the installer). Well the boys have been together now for a few months and I have to say they are bestest buddies. I am so glad things worked out so well as mostly I did not give Leo enough one on one time before expecting him to tolerate another dog. They have become almost inseparable and take such good care of each other. Last night when it rained hard, they each groomed the other, licking off the water as if to comfort. Well little Randy is growing up so fast. I knew that would happen. Leo is getting close to his first birthday, August 4th, and he just gets more beautiful every day. Last night I got to watch my favorite episode of NCIS...of course the one with Corgis. The Medical Examiner's mother (they are British) has 4 Corgis. The Corgis get a lot of screen time and dialog about them. I love when Gibbs tells Tony that the dogs are not hounds "They're Corgis". Also the ME says that in Wales the Corgi is the protector of the farmer and in his house they protect his mother. The Corgis really make the episode for me.

Randy is doing his first frap today..so cool. Leo is showing him the ropes and they are going like crazy. The boys are getting along so well, I am so pleased. The size difference is still a bit of a problem as Leo is just so much heavier than Randy. Randy gets kind of mad when Leo plays with him and he acts like a badger..snarling and growling. Randy has been with us now for 4 days and Leo and I are happy with the situation. Leo is getting a good workout playing with little bro, who is a wildman just like him. Randy is officially home with us. YAY! So far only one mishap, Leo pushed Randy into the sidewalk and he hurt his little head..he seems fine but he really cried so I am worried sick. Aaahhh all 3 of the Corgis are sleeping and there is peace in the kingdom once again. I am having the best time playing with and watching these little guys. Last night I could have given them all away (not really..but wow a trial for sure) and today they are all on such good behavior even when they are not sleeping, life is good. Corgis are blessed and so are we that keep them.

I am so excited for Randy to come home. Leo and I have been looking forward to this for a long time. Everything is ready for him, his crate with bed that matches Leo's, some new puppy toys, puppy food, vet appointment. Am I forgetting anything???
