Becoming Runners & Emergency Recall Worked!

I have started a Couch to 5k running program and I am brining Tucker along with me! I have never been much of a runner but I am determined to succeed at this and start running a few times a week. It is a 9 week program which gradually builds you up to running 5K. We live right near Valley Forge National Park with lots of great paved trails so we have been going there. I figure if Tucker starts the program with me he will build up his endurance along with me and will be a great running partner.… Continue

So Tempting

I emailed the breeder I got Tucker from and asked her to keep my in mind if she has any tri females in upcoming litters. I figured maybe 6 months down the road I'd hear from her about it - but she has one now! She had only one tri in her recent litter of 8 and of course it's a female- and she's not spoken for. She'll be ready to go in 6-7 weeks. Not sure I'm ready for another one just yet.. I feel like things are pretty perfect the way they are with my cats/dog and I am afraid of upsetting the… Continue

Proud :)

We got Tucker in March - and he is 15 months old now. He has become a much more confident well-behaved dog over the past 6 months. He used to mark (inside and out), freak out when there were loud noises, make a scene at the vet, not even go outside in the yard without me coming, etc. He definitely wasn't all that confident or independent but yesterday I realized just how much progress he has made.

We started the day at the vet, he got examined, got a shot and got his nails clipped… Continue

1st birthday!

Tucker is 1 year old today! These past two months with him have been great. We can tell that he trusts us and feels comfortable in his new home. Corgi's definitely have big personalities! He is always doing something to make us laugh. His favorite activities thus far are running full speed, snuggling, and eating.

We celebrated his big day with a long trip to the dog park. He came home tired, very dirty, and so happy. He really loves it there. He has no fear - plays with dogs of all… Continue

Tucker the Corgi was sick and now Smooshie the Cat is sick?!

Well I started going a a new vet when I got Tucker and I have gotten to know everyone in the office in just over a week because I have been there or been on the phone with them almost every day!

Tucker had his meet the vet appt last monday - they said he is in great shape, very healthy and a tad underweight. (He is 28 lbs but for his frame he is a bit underweight) We had all the blood tests done and everything came back negative. He went home wtih a deworming pill (just in case) and… Continue

We got our Corgi today!!

I got a return call from a breeder yesterday afternoon saying she has a 10 month old male Pembroke available. We went to meet him today and ended up coming home with him. After a long search things went so fast with this pup! We knew it was right. He is so friendly and happy.

He had a big day today - his second car ride ever, a trip to petsmart, his first walk in the 'city' (really a town but after living on 5 acres..), a new home, new kitty friends and new parents. He took… Continue

Disappointing day.

Well everything was all set for us to get Isabella on March 14th. She is 8 months old and was scheduled to get spayed today before coming home to us.

We were so excited. We have been corresponding with the breeder since December and talking with her about Isabella for over a month. The breeder let us know that she was a bit shy - she was also a bit small for her age - the two reasons why she was not going to be a show pup. When we met her she really came our of her shell. She had a… Continue
