So yesterday was my human daughter's birthday. She had a dog-loving friend spend the night,and the fur kis spent the whole evening participating in the party in her room. I don't know what all treat they got last night, but this morning/afternoon, they apparently reached their limit. I gave the human girls chicken and French fries for lunch. So our girl Luna went out potties last night, didn't act sick or sickly, no problems, and settled down for the night.

 

The girls still sleep in their crates because they're still little and not terribly reliable on the chewing issue.

 

Well, my husband and I must have slept like ROCKS last night, because when my husband got up at 5am, he started wailing, Oh LUNAAAAAA!

 

She had exploded from _both ends_ all over her crate! vomit and diarrhea! Poor…

So, I talk to my nubs. This, I am sure, is reasonably normal. (I talk to the cats too). I also, however, find myself ANSWERING myself on behalf of the corgi nubs.

Me: "are you ready to go for a walk?"
Also Me: "Yes, yes! We can't wait!"

Most traumatic walk EVER! (I would appreciate it if I could vent to corgi nation for therapy purposes)

We live in a suburban neighborhood with big fenced yards. Almost everyone has dogs, and we never have a problem on our daily walks beyond barking from behind some fences.

Does anyone else have a siren dog? Anytime there is an emergency siren (ambulance, police, tornado) our Luna girl goes on full-scale civil defense alert, howling her head off.(to help alert everyone, of course!) it's the only time AT ALL that she howls. This must be her contribution to public service.

I have two naughty, naughty corgis who are lucky that they aren't in a box in the front yard that says "free to a good home." 

First, I come home and they EATEN one of my special sandals, the expensive ones that I brought back from Venezuela.  Now, they aren't big chewers normally, so I've gotten lax about leaving things out. This upsets  me, but it's partially my own faulty.  Today, I come home and they have DUG ANOTHER SPECIAL PAIR OF SANDALS out of the closet and eaten them up.…

So our girl Luna is a big talker.  We know that, we've seen it since she was a pup.  She has the full range of corgi talk (wookie talk, grumbling, growling, yipping, etc.).  This is usually for a purpose (like, "let me out to potty"), or in response to petting (almost like a purr?)...she has a specific "butt-rubbing grumble" but right now she's showing off a new one:

So...instead of safely up on the dresser, my husband made the mistake of placing his wallet on the coffee table after doing some online Christmas shopping on Friday. Yesterday, the wallet was gone. We spent ALL day tearing the house apart looking for it. Our only thought now is that the little stinkers ran off with it.
