Do other Corgis lay on their backs and wave? What does this mean?
Jack does this all the time. I figured he's trying to grab something, like his toy or my hand, but sometimes, he just does it at random. Is this just a Corgi thing?

Hello all! :D
Mister Jack and I had a blast at the dog show here in Houston yesterday. We paid a visit to the AKC booth, and inquired about printing a pedigree for Jack. Unfortunately, we have no papers on him! The breeder never sent them to us. We've tried to contact her, but always an answering machine picked up. I'm going to keep trying though. :3
Anyway, they asked if he had a registered name. Of course, he does not. I never really thought about giving him one, but I…

I just noticed a penny sized lump on the right side of Jack's stomach. It's under the skin, and it seems like it hurts him when it's touched.
We're going to take him to the vet hopefully tomorrow and let them look at it.
Does anyone have any idea what this could be? My grandmother has jumped to conclusions already and is afraid it could be cancer. I just would like to put her at ease.
Thanks!

Jack is shedding his Winter coat, and there's little tiny tuffs everywhere! There's enough to make another dog..
I was wondering where I should take him to get clipped. Or if I should shave him?
What do you guys think?

On my birthday I wanted to do something I would remember. Since I don't have kids, I decided Jack's name would be perfect. :) Besides, Jack is my child, and I always want him to be with me. <3

Yesterday was a nervous day for everyone...
Jack was neutered yesterday, and of course, he was not happy about the whole thing.
Everything went well, and he came through like a little champ. :) Until they put the Elizabethan collar on him... Ha ha. Jack threw a fit that would make an angry four year old child blush. We eventually took it off because he was just so miserable with it on. He refused to lay down with it on, and fell asleep in his room standing up. I…

I hope everyone had happy holidays!
As of late, Jack has been very, very aggressive towards his 'sister'. I'm talking about knock down, drag out fights! She can just look at him funny, and he snarls up like a small fluffy rat. We've tried everything from spanking with a rolled up newspaper, to locking him in his room for a time out. It gets even worse when his 'sister' gets near me, he just gets crazy. I've had to pull them apart several times in just the last two days! Jack even…

So, Jack's trip to the vet went great. :) He was a big hit. I found out that he weighs 22.1 pounds! I was so surprised! He doesn't look like he weighs that much.. Is that healthy for a five month old? Apparently the vet thought so..
Anyway, I've noticed that lately Jack has become rather food aggressive. We knew that our other dog, Kujo, was aggressive around food, but Jack had never been. I was wonderning if he could have learned that from his 'sister.' ?

How exciting...?!
We have to take our other dog, Kujo, to the vet tomorrow for a good claw clipping. She has some disorder that causes the nerves to seperate from the outside cover. So, she has to go in for annual claw clippings. We've decided to take Jack to the vet as well. His first trip! He has to get a puppy check up and a couple of shots. I just know he's going to love it. :/
Does anyone have tips for helping him actually enjoy the visit? We love our vet, he's very…

Barely.
Ike hit our area around 3 am on Sagturday morning, this is also the time we lost power. Poor Jack was just a nervous wreck. He couldn't sleep with all the wind howling, and us looking at each other and muttering "Oh my God.." at every noise. At one point, I slept in the bathroom with Jack just to make him more comfortable, it just made me into a decent chew thing. He decided that hiding behind the toilet is a good thing, so now he stays in the bathroom, no matter who goes in…

Jack is a nervous wreck! I think he knows something big is coming. He's been in hiding most of the day, even growling at me when I try to pick him up and take him outside. We live in Cypress where the winds are supposed to be up to 95 mph! We've decided to ride it out, but if we're without power for too long, we're taking the dogs and going to a hotel!
Good luck to all who are weathering the storm!
