Friends, Second Time Swimming and Moving!

My hair dresser has two lovely corgis and when I went to go get my hair done on Saturday I brought Izzie along to play with Dorothy and Henry. Dorothy and Izzie spent the afternoon running around the shop and outside chasing each other and generally having a good time. She and Henry also get along real well but Dorothy kind of like to be an attention hog so she takes up Izzie's time. ;-) Sine Lily isn't much of a player, it's good to get Izzie out and playing with other doggies. I wanted to take her to the new doggie park in Cranberry, but when I got there, there weren't any other small doggies and I was a little concerned that I didn't see any shade for Izzie to sit under. Since she is basically all black, I notice that when it's sunny she goes directly for the shadiest place outside. Lily on the other hand, is perfectly happy sun bathing in hot weather.

I took Izzie out to swim again yesterday and boy did we tire her out! She didn't seem too thrilled to get in the water and would try to climb on me and go up my chest. This time we had both me and my dad in the pool and we had her swim back and forth between us and try to give her a little break each time she swam to either of us. OH my. She was so wiped out. We were surprised she had enough energy to run around in the dirt after I took her out of the water. I gave her a bath since she insisted she was going to roll around in the dirt after swim time and then put her in her kennel so I could get cleaned up. By the time dinner rolled around about an hour later, she REFUSED to come out of her kennel and we had to basically drag her out to get her to eat dinner. Poor baby slept for most of the evening and then was awake again after we got home from sushi (yum!)

And more news! I just got a job in Pleasantville, NY and my job starts September 2nd! ARGH! That's in a week! I'm going to bring Izzie up with me for a week and live at my boyfriend's family's place and then hopefully move in to this apartment I am eyeing. I hope I can find some fun places for Izzie and me to visit. The community up there looks like it would be fine to take her on daily walks but it would be nice to find a dog park to take her to. :-) I wonder if there are any corgi lovers up there!
